Location is good. But the room is old and not really clean

Having booked this hotel some time in advance I had done my research on available parking (none at hotel) and parked at Parking Obispo Galarza. This is a modern multi storey car park which the hotel will get you a fee reduction - if you ASK them. The walk is either along the flat in a curved route or down steep ramps to the Plaza Major then up a slope. You will need a good proven SatNav (which we had) to get to the parking. Google maps is a bit wanting in the built up centre! Now this hotel should be very good and is in an old refurbished building. However first the big negatives from our perspective. We were asked to do a prior check in by internet and choose our room. This we did and chose a street facing upper room that was available. On arriving we were given a rear room with an outlook into a service well. The room whilst comfortable had major failings. Room 120, avoid it if you can, is a square/rectangular box. Inside is another box containing the toilet facilities. This box is sealed with a glass upper = light on illuminated room. This box is not ventilated apart from a small window that can be opened – this is in the shower cubicle (I hit the closed handle a number of times. The toiletries are further inside the shower cubicle. If you are any size over small you are going to become friends with the handle and shampoo/shower gel. Needless to say steam got everywhere quite quickly. Now positives – Excellent staff especially in the restaurant / breakfast area. The bed was very comfortable and the room kept very clean. The hotel position is excellent for the Old City (there is an entrance in the street behind the hotel giving access to the higher parts of the Old Area). The hotel is on one side of a Plaza which has a number of good eateries.

Lovely hotel in a historic area

Nicely located. Very close to local markets, bakery, shops, and restaurants, which makes the 5-min walk to parking quite enjoy. Highly recommended.
