Pacific Hotel Cairns

I was originally going to give 1 star, but because of Trip.com's good customer service attitude, I'm giving 2 stars. The pictures showed a fantastic view (like in image 1) when I booked, but the actual room looked like a mess (images 2 and 3). They tricked me into paying 7000 yuan for 5 nights in a room with a parking lot view, and I couldn't even change it. Everyone, please be careful when booking this room type. The hotel's location is decent, but the pictures are completely different from reality.

The location is fantastic, making it easy to get around efficiently. The staff are also very kind. There are no slippers provided, so it's best to bring your own.

Only a 3-minute walk from the pier, which is super convenient! You can easily walk to all the city's attractions, the night market is close by, and a stroll along the beach is also lovely! Special shoutout to the Chinese-speaking lady at the front desk who was incredibly kind and helpful!

I booked a room with a balcony that opens, but the hotel gave me a room with a sealed window. It's completely different from what I booked. When I asked at the front desk, they said all the rooms with balconies were taken.

It was the best! The front desk staff were so kind and attentive. The hotel was also very clean. I'd love to stay again!

The location is fantastic. We arrived very early in the morning, and the front desk was dark with no staff around. After a while, a tour group arrived, and then a staff member came out. The room was spacious, and the breakfast buffet was more affordable than other hotels.
