The Abbott Boutique Hotel

Location-wise, this hotel is super convenient! It's just a short walk to a big supermarket, there's a Chinese restaurant right downstairs, and a food court next door. The night market and beach are less than a 15-minute walk away. As for facilities, the room was decent and pretty clean. What really surprised me (and this is a first for me in Australia!) is that the hotel has a washing machine and dryer that are free to use! Everywhere else, washing, drying, and detergent usually cost me around 12-13 AUD. The hotel also has a public area with a capsule coffee machine that guests can use for free. My only minor complaint is that the bed was a bit too soft.

I chose this hotel because I was going diving in the Great Barrier Reef and wanted something close to the marina to minimize walking. This place was very convenient, with restaurants within walking distance. The security was excellent, using a key code for entry. There were hot drinks like tea and coffee, and snacks available in the common areas. It was a very comfortable stay for my few days vacation in Cairns.

The hotel is in the city center, which makes getting around very convenient. It's not a large hotel, but it feels very comfortable. The room isn't big, and there's no view from the window. There's a small lounge area that offers bottled water, coffee, and some small biscuits.

I was extremely satisfied with every aspect of this hotel in Cairns. First and foremost, it was incredibly clean and tidy, from the bedding to the towels. The cafe was spacious, neat, and comfortable, and the kitchenette was convenient and well-equipped. The free use of the laundry room was a huge convenience for guests. Overall, the entire hotel felt very comfortable. The location couldn't be better, with easy access to dining, supermarkets, and shopping just a few steps away. Highly recommended!

Great location and friendly staff. They have a complimentary coffee bar for guests with coffee, tea, cookies, and water.
