Cairns City Sheridan Motel

Good for short stay. Do confirm the room type prior flying and remember to contact hotel for late check-in.

Communication about after hours check in  access code was not sent to us despite 3 phone calls requesting the code. So we had to call at midnight to get the instructions, for which we were placed on hold for extended period of time. The room was on street level despite our request for a quiet room. The room was very outdated, the mattress was badly worn out. The pillows were of very poor quality and thick as a balloon. All in all a disappointing experience. We would never book this hotel again.

There were cracked tiles on the stairs with uneven sharp edges. But the male staff was very professional, pleasant and polite.

It was good enough, nothing flashy. The hall ways can echo so you can be woken up in the morning as people are leaving and being noisy. If I'm back in cairns I'd stay again.

The motel was not as expected. No lift, no service, no cleanliness. We immediately moved out with no refunds. Make sure you do not book it all. As it is non refundable and disgusting.

When we arrived at the reception, the door was locked, and no one is at the counter. The gd thing was we were allowed to leave our luggage near the reception cabinet due to early arrival in the morning, while we went for our day tour. We are able to collect our key in their deposit box which is well arranged. Our luggages were carried to out room, which is considered a good service. Unfortunately. one of our luggage handle was damaged without informing us at all! TV is not working, and wifi is totally non-existence.

Nice motel close to public transport and city centre of Cairns - love the 2 pool in the complex

Very good value for money. Location was a short walk from the centre. Felt safe. The hotel is a little run down but very good for the price!
