I stayed here twice - the first time, an ordinary room, the 2nd time, I thought maybe the Horizon Club might be a higher level. Before I say anything, I may choose to stay again for the location! This property is not 'Shangri-LA' as you would expect - the windows are all dirty which is disappointing for 'Marina View' rooms... The Horizon lounge furniture is closer to school lunch hall style, and the dinner - well, I don't eat in food halls with sausage rolls and spring rolls. We ate in the main street which was AWESOME!. The ping pong table is bent, bats are without surface, and the air hockey machine without pucks.. Basically a 'cashing in on the brand' experience...

Just okay :/ The staff was great and very friendly. However, the hotel quality did not match up with the standard we have seen at other Shangri - La Hotels. The paint on our door was badly peeling and the padded benches in our room were stained. Two of the outlets in our room did not have power. We ordered room service the first night and the rice that was sent was hard a a rock and stuck together. The location was great and the potential is there but this hotel is in need of some upkeep and a standards check. For any other hotel this would not be as big of a concern, but for the price and expectation of a Shangri- La Hotel, we were expecting a bit more.

Built on the pier right next to the cruises and tourist centre. Many dinning options down the ground floor. The hotel is old but under good maintenance

I could have given 5 stars but didn’t because I requested to give me extra 1 hour check out time but they declined. They just didn’t care at all those people on the front desk. I won’t come back there are plenty hotels in the vicinity, a little walk is good exercise; plus the night market is on the other side anyway.

What a terrible experience after staying for three nights👎👎👎
This is a family trip for three people. We booked a sea view room in this hotel for three nights in advance (the room fee was paid in full). When we checked in on the first night, it was said that we were staying for three people, so we had to pay an extra $120 to check in. The key is The service attitude is too bad and indifferent. After paying for the room, there is no value-added service in the room. Even toiletries and disposable items are not added (the room is only for two people).
The next day we wanted to check out the room two days after booking, but the hotel did not agree. It only agreed to add $80 per night for the next two days.
