The whole experience was excellent. All staff were great and efficient. Great quality food and drinks, particularly considering quality cost ratio. All common areas, and room continuously being cleaned. Definitely a place I would like to repeat next year.

The hotel is central to everything which is good, but the place needs totally updating. The hotel is tatty and somethings are dirty like the fidges and shower curtains in the rooms. There was also ants in the room, by reading other reviews, it wasnt just my room. The biggest let down was the food, it's disgusting, and the same stuff daily, not much choice, it's so boring, you don't even want to go in there. Its that bad, that one day they had burgers on the pool bar and were making burgers in the restaurant...really??!! We went out to eat quite a lot. The beaker thing is a pain, but it did save a member of staff collecting glasses and rubbish. The smoking outside thing was also a pain, and in my opinion looked awful from the outside, it made it look cheap and tacky, which the hotel is. There is plently of spare sunbathing terraces on the top level, that would not of effected anyone, if one became a designated smoking area. Would l go back again?............not even for a free holiday.

Just on our way home from a week at La Mirada, our second visit (first time around 3 years ago). Four adults and two children, aged 5 and 18 months. The staff were all so friendly and always made a fuss of my nephews, the pool was clean and well maintained, with plenty of sun loungers. We all eat pretty healthily and my eldest nephew is type 1 diabetic and we always found something to eat, plenty of choice and replenished frequently. The drinks were fine with plenty of choice. There was a €1 deposit for a plastic cup and plate, which we had back at the end and meant that there was no rubbish lying around. We stayed in one bedroom apartments and they were cleaned every day and fresh towels left. We had a huge terrace with table and chairs and a fridge, which was handy for drinks. The location is ideal for sightseeing/beach days or eating out and the land train is worth a ride on, into Cala D'or or just to see the area and marina. There was daily entertainment, but we didn't take part, but my nephew enjoyed the mini disco and parrot show at night. We loved our week and will definitely be back. Thank you

Currently here with my husband and my parents for 10 nights. We booked it last minute for a cheap sun holiday and it’s our first trip to Majorca after many trips to Menorca. I’d read the reviews and for the money we paid was expecting it to be an average and have been pleasantly surprised. As people have said yes it needs a revamp but it’s spotlessly clean and well managed and is far better than some other more expensive hotels we’ve stayed in. A clean room with a comfy bed is all I need and it is plus it’s spacious with a nice terrace and a handy fridge. Stayed on top floor in 805. Wrist bands double as room key which is genius. Pool is nice and clean and lounger are comfy. Towels can be rented as we forgot ours but I got some up the road for 4 euros. Location is superb right in the middle of shops, bars and restaurants and 5 minutes to beaches and marina. I’m not.a fussy eater and found the food to be standard AI and fine. Always had fish meat pasta chips rice salad. Breakfast was standard not sure what people are expecting for the money but it’s all hot and topped up regularly and the restaurant staff like all the hotel staff work extremely hard at what they do and the restaurant operates like clockwork. Beer Cruz Campo and wine on tap which cuts out all the queues but the cocktails were rubbish and premixed and the spirits weren’t great either. Deposits needed for plastic cups and plates for round pool. We didn’t fancy the pool food so didn’t need these and we got 1 euro plastic cups from the Spar round the corner which held more but you still need the hotel small glass for cocktails and spirits. To sum up it was good for what we paid it was well managed and clean and a good introduction to Majorca, thanks Gavimar.

Poor. Lovely resort and the pool was great - loved the 10am rule for loungers. However…..the food was absolutely dreadful, having paid for all inclusive we ended up eating out 5 out of the 7 nights as it was so bad. We are not fussy eaters but it was just awful- there was a Mexican night and how you can make Mexican food bland is a mystery! The bar staff were grumpy to the extreme- and the lad on the poolside bar was dreadful. The accommodation was ok - but no good if you have mobility issues. The lift was good but still stairs after the lift - also can only access the pool via ladders.

Lovely clean hotel, daily housekeeping, bottle of fizz to welcome us in the room, we had a junior suite, our daughter had a comfy sofa bed. The pool area was clean and no great rush for sunbeds, two pools and two further areas for beds. Lovely area, right by the shops, restaurants and pubs and cocktail bars. Not too far to the beach or marina although the beach is small, but very pretty. Land train into Cala d'or stops right outside regularly and isn't expensive. The only downside to our stay was the food, we were all inclusive, drinks were fine and plenty of choice, but the food was really poor, very very little selection and very repetitive, we ate out a lot (fab pizzeria opposite) and would recommend Yates's bar (karaoke). Breakfast was not bad but the rest was a disappointment.

After reading reviews on line I was worried about this holiday. I am Very pleased to say I was pleasantly surprised. The pool - was a good size with the pool up top being a good depth for little ones the bigger pool had a good deep end. The best rule was the pool didn’t open until 10am so I got a good lie in and still got a good sun lounger. Although I have to say there was plenty of sun loungers available. The life guard was very good too. I am sure the kids would have preferred inflatables and I thought I was going to miss them but honestly I didn’t. I took the kids diving sticks to keep them entertained. The food and bar - There was a good variety of food with some beautiful traditional dishes. The fish was lovely and fresh. Breakfast had everything you could ask for. I didn’t eat the lunches as I preferred the pool snack food. They also have a fridge with sandwiches which I am sure you are allowed to take if you are going out for the day. The bar staff were always there with a smile to serve and if your lucky Eddie Cruz will give you a dance and pour at the same time. As for the cup idea. I actually think it’s really good for the environment and they will change it for a new one you only have to ask. I think this will really catch on. The room - we were in a room on the 4th floor and had great views. The air con works but isn’t very strong. Sadly we did come across ants. Once we placed a call to reception they soon came up and sprayed them and cleaned them up. They also left us the can in case they came back which sadly they did. They seemed to like my daughter’s perfume as they went for her clothes mainly. We had a one bedroom With 2 single beds pushed together in the main room and the pop up beds in the lounge area. These were a little hard for our teenage children but once we mentioned this to Ginger our lovely smiley housekeeper she was good enough to get my son a thicker mattress. The rooms and hotel was very clean with the rooms cleaned every day. They had a fridge but no freezer and actually had enough space. The entertainment - they were all very lovely. Some good activities around the pool and they tried in the evening. I would recommend if you plan on staying to take a pack of cards or UNO to play. It’s not a huge hotel so 4 entertainers run everything including the mini club. Reception - Anne and the manager were really very helpful. With lots of ideas and tips for the local area. Again always helpful and smiling. The location - a great little beach only 5 mins away where we had our first cliff jumping experience. We also managed to get some great pictures from the forte up the road which was very beautiful especially at sunset. I know this is a long review but I thought I would help put other peoples mind at ease if they are planning to come here. We honestly really enjoyed ourselves

I was a little worried after reading the reviews that we would not enjoy the hotel. However, we were very pleasantly surprised. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment on the ground floor, where our apartment opened out to face the kids club area. Perfect for my children to run around, dance, play football, volleyball and table tennis all within view. The hotel itself felt quite small whilst also rarely seeing other guests except from by the pool and restaurant areas. All areas were kept exceptionally clean. The apartment was cleaned daily and we had no sign of ants. The beds were comfy, although the sofa bed may be more suited for a child. Once I popped the second mattress on though it was much more comfortable. The location was good. The closest beach being only a five minute walk away. The shops and restaurants were a five minute walk the opposite direction. The area felt safe enough to allow my eldest to walk to the shop with her nieces. The pool area was the highlight of my children's holiday. They loved the independence from playing to getting themselves a drink or food from the sports bar. They played water polo during the day which my children didn't wish to join in with, however, they didn't feel they couldn't continue to play in the pool, which was a relief. The food at mealtimes was good, fresh and lots of healthy choices. My ASD son did struggle with the food choices at lunch/dinner so I made sure he ate from the sports bar instead. We did eat out a couple of nights too. All the staff worked incredibly hard, all of them continued to be friendly and approachable despite obviously being very busy.
