Calangute Hotels with Airport pickup service

The room is not very big, but it is clean and warm, with a small balcony. I lived there on the New Year's Day, so it is too expensive. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the beach. The beach is beautiful, but there is a lot of rubbish. Many of the people staying there are the Europeans and Americans. The breakfast is not rich, but it is ok.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Thats what we can truly say about Doubletree! Nithesh, Syantika & Shivram the 3 of them really made our stay Great and Wonderful! They deserve the recognition for their service. The night we arrived, we were welcomed by Nithesh at the reception. The check in was quick and Nithesh followed us all the way to our room giving us information on the bfast, facilities, f&b and other details that we needed to know! Great Service, Nithesh! At the cafe during bfast, we were served by Shivram. He made sure we did not miss a thing! Shivram, we were looking out for you over the next few days, but maybe you were on another shift. Great Service, Shivram! Last but not least, Syantika! Although you are a newbie, you did not seem like a newbie at all! Your charm and must-do attitude, awesome! Both my wife and me felt, that your truthfulness in attending to a query that we asked you, and getting an almost immediate response, just speaks a thousand words! Wonderful hotel in central Goa. Consists of 2 hotels. This hotel itself is on the mountain and a beach hotel. There is a taxi shuttle running between them. Breakfast is 90% Indian. It's hard. Be ready. Restaurants are good in both hotels. There are also non-Indian dishes on the menu. If you come for a short vacation, there is no point in leaving the hotel.

It's in the bar area of the north of Goa, and it's near the famous beachfront, such as Anjuna Beach and Bara Beach! Good when traveling to the north orphan.

When planning the final, Candolim section of our trip to Goa, Shanu's first caught my eye as it seemed to be in a good location but it was difficult to find many reviews from a UK tourist's perspective. Despite this I made a booking for a 1st floor Queen room and it proved to be a very good decision. Shanu's is a large building surrounded by beautiful gardens, located in a quiet, mainly residential area with a couple of other similar guest houses nearby. It is two minutes walk to the beach, 5 minutes to the main road and 10 minutes to Candolim beach road. On checking in we received a friendly greeting before being shown to our room where we were handed our WiFi passwords and 5 large bottles of water, one for each day of our stay. The room had a balcony, accessed via sliding glass doors with insect screens and was equipped with a comfortable double bed, effective quiet air conditioning, a fridge, a kettle and there were plenty of sockets dotted around the room. The modern ensuite bathroom was fitted with a great shower that provided hot water any time of day and room cleaning was carried out whenever required by leaving our key at reception, who also organised a very reasonably priced taxi to take us to the airport. We enjoyed our stay at Shanu's enormously and wouldn't hesitate to stay there when we next visit Candolim.

We had a wonderful family holiday at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Goa. The hotel provides the perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, spacious, and come with modern amenities that ensure a pleasant stay for both adults and children. My kids loved the pool area, which was clean and child-friendly, with a shallow section perfect for little ones. One of the highlights was the restaurant's diverse menu—both buffet and à la carte options. Whether it was Goan seafood specialties or international dishes, everything we tried was delicious and well-prepared. The breakfast spread had something for everyone, including fresh fruits, eggs made to order, and Indian classics like dosa. The hotel's proximity to both beaches and markets made it convenient for short day trips, but it was also so enjoyable to just relax on the property itself. The friendly and helpful staff enhanced our experience, always available to assist with a smile. Golden Tulip is ideal for a family-friendly stay in Goa.

This trip was equal parts nostalgic as it was for relaxing, since my family and I first visited Cidade almost 21 years ago. Taj has done a splendid job of maintaining the architecture and atmosphere of the original property. A stunning view of the sea, spacious rooms, a wide, open terrace, and lots of areas to walk, sit, and relax. It’s a truly magnificent property. I wouldn’t say it was the best experience but it wasn’t bad either. Positives: - Very comfortable rooms. And clean bathroom with a great shower. Great amenities and a well stocked mini fridge + snack bar. - Terrace is the USP for this room. It has a fantastic view of the beach and the sea, and it’s a great place to hang out when the weather is nice (or to even observe rain). It’s not 100% private since the sitting area opens into a common terrace space but some rooms have a private balcony in addition. - Food is great! No complaints in the quality or quantity. - Very kind and polite staff. Everyone was going out of their way to help us when we requested anything, which was very sweet. Negatives: - We had to switch rooms and both rooms still had the same problem. It’s possible that the lightening storm season caused some kind of sewage leak or backing, but there was a sewage smell coming through the AC ducts in both rooms and it was uncomfortable. I will say the staff did their best by providing us an automated room freshener to drown out the smell and it did the job. - The switch in room also meant that we lost the private balcony, but we still had the terrace so that’s alright. - Some discrepancies in communication. We requested extra coffee mugs and twice we were delivered a set of spoons, and then a bucket and bathroom mug? Once we spoke to housekeeping again, we were sent coffee mugs but for some reason they included a mismatch of mugs (including a mug that was not part of the hotel collection but appeared to be a mug left behind from an old guest, likely saved). It feels odd that non-hotel cutlery would be sent to new guests. - Room service menu could have more variety. It wasn’t advertised in an appealing way, which is a shame for the Goan dishes. Additionally, the prices did not reflect the product. Of course, room service at a 5-star isn’t going to be cheap, but pancakes with sides being the same price (whatever that price may be) as one bowl of cereal seems much. - There was very loud vacuuming happening at around 1:30 AM on the first night? The rooms are mostly sound proof but not completely, so you can hear neighbouring room noises sometimes too. - Breakfast buffet had items I’m allergic to mixed in with another item that I couldn’t have because of cross contamination (I realise a buffet hinges largely on how the guests take care of the items they touch and is already not very allergen friendly, but this was at 7:30 AM when I was the first one there and this was how everything was set up/served before guest interaction). Just like being at home but warm, our ruffles family as always are great led by Russel. Terrific multi cuisine food at very reasonable prices, one thing not to miss is Sunday lunch / dinner ( just like your mum made ) the rooms are clean & serviced by a great hotel team it also has 2 swimming pools. The hotel prices are very good for a hotel in such a good location. We shall be back in November & again in January 2025 (please god).
