Hotel Review: MYND As someone who follows a vegan/plant-based diet, traveling can often be a challenge, but our experience at MYND was quite promising. We stayed for 7 lovely days, and although there were areas that could be improved for us, I would still recommend it to friends and family. What we liked: • Skipping room cleaning for vouchers: The option to skip room cleaning in exchange for vouchers to use at the hotel’s restaurants and pool bars was fantastic. A great eco-friendly initiative! • Water bottle refill stations: The availability of fresh water refill stations was superb. This helps reduce plastic waste, and it’s something every hotel should offer as standard. • Clean and modern design: The hotel’s architecture was clean and modern, with a well-maintained garden and pool area, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. • Well-equipped pools: The pools were great, and the pool bar offered towels and a cleaning service, so there was no need to bring beach towels. • Gym facilities: The gym was well-equipped for both muscle training and cardio, with a pull-up bar and towels provided. Everything you need for a good workout. • Modern rooms: The rooms were sleek and contemporary, similar to other modern hotels like Novotel. We had a nice view of the ocean from the third floor. There were also upgrade options for rooms with private pools, but even the basic rooms were sufficient for us. • Beach proximity: The beach was just an 8-minute walk away, clean, and featured the lovely Lostetia Beach Cafe. Perfect for a relaxing day by the sea. • Bike and e-bike rentals: MYND offers modern bikes and e-bikes, which are the best way to explore the coastline, especially given how hilly the area is. Very convenient for exploring nearby attractions. • Car rental service: There’s a digital car rental option right at the hotel reception, which makes renting a car easy and hassle-free. • Nearby restaurants: Plenty of restaurants offering a variety of cuisines are within walking distance, adding to the convenience. • Proximity to entertainment: For those looking for entertainment, it’s just a 40-minute bus ride away. The hotel’s location is more family-oriented and focused on dining. • Hiking opportunities: There are also some awesome hikes just an hour away by e-bike, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. What could be improved: • Vegan/plant-based options at lunch and dinner: There were limited plant-based choices for lunch and dinner, with only a plant-based burger and a poke bowl with raw tofu (not fried or seasoned). We didn’t try the Japanese restaurant, as the two vegan options on the menu didn’t seem filling enough. It would be great to see more substantial vegan choices, and perhaps offer meat, fish, or animal-product-based sauces as optional add-ons. It was also a bit amusing to see “dorade with vegan butter” on the menu—dorade is a fish, so definitely not vegan! • Vegan menu basics: Adding basics like beans, lentils, or even more creative t
