We love Villa Roma! Especially Doc and Joy. They help to make lasting memories for our family for 10+ years. Nightly shows, bingo, swimming, duck races, turtle races, kids horse racing and more. Great food, friendly staff, beautiful views.

We come to the Villa Roma every single year seeing as we have a timeshare for week 33. Now this review is not for the resort itself but for the water aerobics classes that I was able to take part in this vacation. Water aerobics with Susan is one of the best kept secrets that the Villa Roma has. Now the reason that I didn't know about it is because generally in the summer it's not offered seeing as the indoor pool is not open. But when we were informed at the local farmers market that we should ask about it, we inquired and Susan willingly obliged to having the classes three times for our week. It was such a fun, energetic and wonderful workout, especially for vacation. I cannot wait to return in the winter and do it again. Susan is so wonderful at what she does and we are so glad that she is a part of the Villa Roma family!!!

Great people, but would avoid at all costs. Tall weeds line the timeshares and young children seem to be allowed to roam free and gamble. Food is so overpriced and my room smelled of smoke. Overall not a good experience especially the cops showing up at 8 pm on 7/27. Expose this place for what it is.

I wanted to love this resort - there is so much potential. Unfortunately, it is not cared for well at all. We stayed in a 2 BR suite in the main building. The entire property is very outdated and smells like bug treatment and/or mildew every where you go. The pool was cloudy, full of bugs and the chairs and awnings were filthy. The sports center with a gym, bowling and bounce houses were a great idea but looked and felt completely abandoned, was also filthy and was covered with overgrown shrubbery. I’m sure it costs a lot of money to run a place like this but it doesn’t feel like they are investing in (or even maintaining) this property at all.

This was literally the most disgusting place that I have ever stayed. I am outraged that I exchanged my Disney Vacation Club points for this hole. To begin, the carpet in our room was soaking wet on my side because the air conditioner leaked. We reported it twice and NOTHING WAS DONE. This made the room smell like mold. Secondly, the condition of the stairs outside the building and the outside of the building were terrible. Our toilet was permanently stained on the seat and the wallpaper was falling off the bathroom wall. The bathroom door had to be shoved in order to open or close and it was falling apart. The faucet in the tub leaked / dripped. Lastly, our TV picture had a big black line through it - which was the least of my concerns. Let me tell you that when I think of staying where we stayed, I feel physically ill. The entire resort is outdated as a whole, but our room was just disgusting beyond words. I have contacted Villa Roma via FB and they have chosen to ignore me. RUN - RUN FAR AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!

We have been coming to Villa Roma for many years. It's a great family vacation. It can use a little TLC since it has been around for a while, but we come for the families and for the regular staff who have been a part of Villa Roma for many years. It is the people that make our vacation so enjoyable. We love spending our days by the pool and one of our favorite staff members is Sue, the head lifeguard. She has been a regular there for many years and is still such a positive reflection of Villa Roma. It is so refreshing to see someone who loves what she does. She is always quick to greet you each morning with a smile and kind words. She is always kind, helpful and a pleasure to speak to. Sue makes each guest feel welcome and we know our little ones are safe because of her professionalism and keen eye. Her staff follows suit because of her care and guidance. Sue also ran water aerobic classes at Villa Roma in the past, which were so much fun and brought the guests together. We hope to have them back in the future. Doc, Joy, Katrina, Steve and the amazing entertainment crew also add so much to our positive vacation experience. They are also amazing. They always have so many fun activities like duck races, turtle races, games, etc. for all the generations to enjoy together...from babies to great-grandparents!...and the weekly honor for our veterans, police officers, firemen/women, teachers and other heroes that Doc and Joy set up is truly beautiful and so patriotic. We love it. Thank you, Villa Roma for putting families first.

I exchanged into this resort using Interval International timeshare for a one bedroom / full kitchen unit sleeping 4 and the unit assigned was 625. I arrived on 7/21 and the timeshare office is not located in the main hotel. There is a separate location to sign in at the sign in timeshare office. Upon checking in I was told that the INDOOR POOL is only open when there is inclement weather(Rain) otherwise it is always closed. WHY!!! The resort does not mention this anywhere on their website or on the II certificate. I have 2 small children that are sun sensitive as I am sure other families do as well so now what do you do. There reply was SORRY. They assigned me a room 769 in what looked like an ARMY barrack in the woods with no elevator. My wife is disabled so I asked to have my room changed. The reply was we will see if there is any availability elsewhere as we are sold out. I stated that I was suppose to get room 625 in the main hotel according to the II certificate and the reply is that room is not available. I asked why no reply. The unit they assigned 769 was retro 1970. The beds were old, the kitchen at best was nearly ok, the rugs were old and smelly, there bathroom was small with a walk in tub and the sheets and blankets were also old. The sofa and chairs in the living area were old and shabby. Nothing at all was new or remotely updated. Finally they agreed to give me a room in the main hotel room 636. The walk was so long from the elevator to the room and I was told this when the reassigned me to that room. So again no concern that my wife was disabled. I went to look at the room and OMG it was the same as the first room 769. OLD and ANTIQUATED. I saw the cleaning service women Crystal and asked her if all the rooms were like this and she stated no the rooms from 620 to 630 were renovated and all is new in those rooms. Well if I had gotten my original room 625 all would have been fine except for the indoor poll issue. The resort personnel in the timeshare portion of the resort is not customer friendly and does not really try to help out the vacationer in any way. Needless to say with my wife upset & crying and my 2 kids as well we decided not to stay and I went back to return the forms I filled out. When I told the personnel I was leaving there reply was OK. No concern as to what transpired or even offer me to possibly move to another unit in a day or so when one may have been available. NO just OK BYE!! So 3 hours drive there another 3 hours home and no vacation. Thank VILLA ROMA for your uncaring and inexcusable attitude to helping out a family on vacation. My advise to anyone is STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS RESORT. It seems all they care about is MONEY and not the people that arrive at the resort.

I stayed at Villa Roma for two nights with my husband and our 5 y.o. son. It was THE PERFECT family getaway. There was plenty to do at the resort. Our son especially loved the pools, go-karts and bounce houses! Staff was very friendly and food was great!
