The hotel is located in the northern part of Cambridge, about a 15-minute walk from the city centre. The facilities appear well-maintained, and the interior decoration is charming, particularly in the restaurant.
However, the noise insulation is poor, and you can clearly hear footsteps and conversations in the hallway. It's unfortunate if you happen to encounter loud or inconsiderate guests, as the noise can be quite disruptive, especially late at night. If that happens, do call the front desk and they will try to intervene - but still, whether it will work highly depends on the behaviour of those guests.

The location is excellent which is at the city centre. The Grand shopping arcade is next to the hotel. Very convenient to the travelers. The hotel is at the city centre which walk 10 minutes can reach most of the important sites.
However, the hotel forget to arrange housekeeping for my two rooms for one night. When I come back to hotel after whole day visit, I was surprise by the untidy room. I tried to call house keeping but the line is busy. I go down to the concierge but they could not help. They just said to make sure housekeeping will be arranged tomorrow. I was so disappointed.
Moreover, I have requested laundry services on two consecutive night. The concierge said that both laundry can return to me after two day in one go. After two days, I asked the hotel to give back my laundry. They can only give back one pack of laundry. After my repeated complaint, they finally find out my second pack of laundry bag. Their service is quite disappointing.

We had the most lovely stay at the University Arms in Cambridge. The staff was so friendly and accommodating and the hotel smelled amazing. The rooms were quite spacious and the beds were very comfortable! The bartenders in the lounge area were exceptionally kind and made delicious cocktails! I especially want to highlight the restaurant manager, Francesco. He was extremely gracious, welcoming, and professional and made our stay at the University Arms that much more wonderful. We will definitely stay here again!

We booked a family room with a balcony. Both beds were quite big. But the only regret was that we thought the balcony looked out to the River Cam, but it turned out to be the back of the hotel. If you are going for the river view, you should check carefully when booking a room! ! !
The interior of the hotel is very unique. When you check out, you can get a room card as a souvenir (it should be printed with Cambridge graduates)
The geographical environment is very nice. You can take a cruise when you go out. The expensive blue vest is downstairs. It takes about ten minutes to walk to King's College. I stayed here for two days and walked in the city~

The Fellows House comes out of nowhere as there is a ton of construction going on in front of it. However, don't let that fool you as the entrance is around a few left hand turns and then you hit reception. Stephanie immediately took care of us. Our room was being readied and we had a small bite at the cafe near the main door. Ali, from Uzbekistan took care of us. Great attitude, service and spoke really well. The room was very comfortable and the bed was huge. The bathroom was super clean and everything worked with a press of a button and turn of dial. Great sanitation facilities. The pool, steam room and sauna were also excellent, plus the gym was very decent. For breakfast the next day, Pam, Dolly, Dada, etc. treated us really well and the assortment of food was ample. When we checked out, Ashutosh made the experience smooth and trouble free. He called us a car to pick us up and take us back to the train station as we headed back to London, after having dinner the night before at The Ivy (very good too). If you're headed to Cambridge, please stay at this hotel. Highly recommended, Debs and Dave

Given the £150 a night pricing and established brand name, I was unhappy to spend a combined 5 hours queuing to speak to front desk RE a pre-booking query - when they finally answered after 90 minutes wait on my 5th attempt I was immediately hung up on. I booked the ”more with your stay” option which includes parking and nothing more. Further issues occurred at check-in when they attempted to charge me £15 for parking anyway. I explained that this wasn't correct, showing them my booking confirmation and explaining that parking was included as I had confirmed pre-booking. Despite confirming that I wouldn't be charged, I was still subsequently charged £15 necessitating a further call back from myself to resolve. The stay itself was comfortable, the hotel, rooms and facilities are nice and fairly well cleaned.

No bed for third person made up, called receptionist I was told someone will come and do it, this was at 19:00 no one ever came, even after following up over the phone. I spent night sleeping without bedding, on plain sofa bed without a single pillow. Terrible experience and poor service. Not enough towels, just for one person & again after calling reception- I was told that they ran out of towels!!! This was enough for my family to bare after whole day of travel, especially the room booked was Executive one. So expected to be up to highest standard and service to be over the top, this isn’t the case. Cleanliness is very poor - see pictures. Dust everywhere and this wasn’t one day worth. After asking for partial refund due to poor service, I was given a silly look and smile, advised to sent email online. Do not bother going there.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Cambridge for three nights and had a wonderful experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, ensuring that all my needs were met. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, making my stay very pleasant.
One of the highlights was the complimentary breakfast, which offered a variety of options suitable for all dietary needs, including halal choices. This was particularly important for me as a Muslim traveler.
The location was convenient, with easy access to public transport and key attractions in Cambridge. Despite being a bit outside the city center, the peaceful surroundings provided a relaxing atmosphere after a day of sightseeing.
Overall, I highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express Cambridge for its excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and thoughtful amenities.

NNajmanGreat stay, very cozy. The pub serves nice food and we had some drinks by the fire. Will return.
GGuest UserThis is a modern and clean hostel ,the staff are friendly ,kind and considerate, and listened patiently to my several and widely varied questions . I found out more from the reception here than the tourist information in Cambridge town centre (which is absolutely useless). The rooms are clean as are the showers and toilets .The food is good but a full breakfast is £9.95 and often you are only permitted 1 slice of bacon ,1 hash brown and 1 sausage which is financially poor value . Wetherspoons in Cambridge has a large breakfast for £7.95 but is a bit of a walk from the hostel. The location is good about 10-15 minutes from the railway station where there are other eating outlets . the self catering kitchen is good and there are kettles there to make your own hot drinks or bring takeaway food in if you wash and clean up afterwards .There is a lounge with books and board games and a tv with all the normal terrestrial channels. Parking in Cambridge is very controlled ,limited and expensive .I parked at the park and ride on Madingley road day return tickets are £3.50 and single tickets are £2.00. The park and ride bus service P+R 1 will only take you to st Andrews street (outside John Lewis) and there you must get another bus or face a 20/25 minute walk. The charge to park is about £10 per 24 hours booked over the phone. Parking near the hostel is on the road and is limited (Devonshire road) it is paid hourly by machine max 2 Hours or free after 5.00pm until 9.00am and free all day Sundays . Devonshire road is accessed by using the ring road and going down mill road (beware of the one way system.)
JJessieThe hotel needs to take a train from Cambridge. The train station is behind the hotel. My 14-year-old son has a round-trip ticket for a total of £7. The hotel is very convenient and not noisy! There is a large parking lot and a parking fee of 5 pounds is required! The hotel is very convenient for self-drivers. It is less than ten minutes drive to the Imperial War Museum IWM. Many planes and tanks during World War II and World War II are worth seeing!
Lovely stay at The Waterman. Although there is a pub downstairs we didn’t make use of it as we had other plans. Warm greeting at check in and given keys to our room. Very comfortable room and very quiet. Breakfast the following morning was great, very friendly chatty and speedy service. We left our bags so we could explore Cambridge and picked them up later. Excellent bus service into the city or a 15 minute walk. A lovely relaxing couple of days in a beautiful historic city made all the more enjoyable by the guys at The Waterman. Highly recommended
曼曼遊世界onemantravellingThe location is convenient. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel to get out of the city center.
The front desk staff has very good service and explains carefully.
The room is clean and comfortable with enough space
Cambridge is an economical and comfortable choice
GGuest UserWe went for spa usage and facilities and was disappointed to find out swimming pool and spa were closed on Saturday @ 7pm. We then went around 8am on sunday only for one third of the swimming pool being closed for a few children’s swim class. The pool was already pretty small and it wasn’t as calm or relaxing any more as children were splashing etc. it’s a shame but I think the hotel needs to really allow longer hours for people to enjoy a more relaxed time in swimming pool for longer hours.
JJIYUNThe hotel is a common self-service hotel in foreign countries. The landlord sends the password to the door. The room information and keys are placed on the first floor. In addition to the narrow corridor and no elevator, the sanitary conditions and environment are above average. It is located in Cambridge. On the edge of the city centre, walk to the main attractions for about 15 minutes; But the service 1 star is for Ctrip, the password of the hotel door I did not receive, the big night blowing at the door for more than half an hour, if someone came out from there, there would be no place to stay on the day; in the Ctrip hotel is to reduce Trouble, but Ctrip only mechanically transferred a travel guide to me. I didn’t have the responsibility to the customer. I couldn’t get it in a foreign call. Ctrip will at least transfer the hotel’s mail (and sometimes not) to the user. Otherwise, where is the agency fee charged?
GGuest UserLovely room and did everything it needed to. I had difficulty using the card to get into the room because I don’t think it was working (it could’ve also been me being stupid tho haha) but I asked reception and he was happy to come and help. Location isn’t great but they don’t have control over that. Otherwise great room and definitely recommend.
GGuest UserIt is the largest hotel in the UK. It has a fully equipped kitchen. There is a Chinese super nearby. You can satisfy your Chinese stomach by buying and cooking. The special thing about this hotel is self-check-in. The landlord leaves the key in the password box at the door. Open the door and check in. Leave the key in the password box when you leave, and you don't see the waiter throughout. Very close to Cambridge University, just a few minutes walk
