The Beachscape Kin Ha Villas in Cancun surpassed our expectations. After a small problem with our room the staff found us a new room and upgraded us to a suite, which was wonderful. The views from the sea view rooms are astounding. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Reception very helpful. Staff serving breakfast work hard and are always smiling. They also work in the evenings in the restaurant on the beachfront and bar. The food is very good. We had breakfast included. It was a hot and cold buffet with all sorts of different Mexican and European dishes. Cereal, fruit and pastries. All so nice. The restaurant food was also great. The grounds and gardens were beautiful. The only small detail we would have liked was a full length mirror, but after speaking to reception at the end of our stay they informed us that they are in 98% of the rooms. We should have asked at the beginning! We came to relax for four nights and were definitely able to do that. There is no thumping music playing like some of the other resorts close by. The beach is clean and the water is so clear. Beachscape has a little shop which sells nice beach clothes, swimwear and toys for children. It also has beer, juice, milk, etc… There is a 7/11 around the corner. There is also a supermarket (huge) about ten minutes walk away. This has everything you could possibly need and more! DO NOT be drawn in by the people at the top of the escalators in the supermarket on your way out!! They will ask to see your receipt and tell you that you can get a huge reduction in price on a catamaran trip and breakfast in a beautiful hotel around the corner for 90 minutes of your time. They will take you to another hotel miles away and try to make you buy time share and stay there for hours! The extremely friendly man who talked us into going was not at all friendly once we said we didn’t want time share and was very unhappy when we insisted he call us a taxi to take us back!

This review is in comparison to our previous stays, not our initial thoughts on the property. The Vine has always been our go-to resort and our last visit in November 2019 was amazing. Unfortunately we have found that the quality just isn't as good as it used to be: Food quality was the biggest disappointment and has definitely gone downhill. Bluewater was always our favourite but quickly became our least favourite this trip. Pizza at Nebbiolo is delicious. House red wine has changed and was horrible. A/C in the room was minimal - would not go below 71 - we requested a fan but unfortunately didn't get one (yes we know to close the patio doors to ensure it's on). The main areas/restaurants also used to be air conditioned but no longer seem to be, especially in Dragons. Chair game is fierce! I enjoy the sunrise and would be down around 6am and a lot of hot spots were already saved. We were there for 7 days in a Preferred Junior Suite and only received bar/snack refills one day. We mentioned to our floor butler and asked for the refill, still nothing! Normally we received three mini liquors, Pringles and M&M's daily... this trip only on the day of check in. It's unfortunate because we truly do love The Vine - the rooms, views, pools, entertainment and service are still outstanding, but in comparison to previous visits it's no longer a resort we care to return to. Side note: Ricardo at Nebbiolo is fantastic and was the star of our week!

I had a fairly okay experience here but compared to the other hotels I've stayed in cancun this takes the bottom. Check in at the hotel desk are long, hotel room is tiny and you can hear sounds from the other room next to you and there was also construction going on so noise was an issue and hotel rooms bath room doesn't have an air ventilation systems so all your business stays in the restroom. Also considering this has a party beach outside, this hotel is not for people that enjoy the quiet side of life. It's difficult to sleep at night when there's a party outside past midnight. The only upside is if you pay for the all inclusive package your meals are covered that's the awesome part they have got a good buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. That's the only thing that made me and my family happy for staying at this hotel.

Our experience started weak but ended stronger. This resort had customer service that was unresponsive, and unhelpful when we did reach them, prior to our arrival. While drinks are included, all I could drink were bottled beers or wine because the cocktails that any barista made were the worst I had tasted - mudslide, vodka soda, pinacolada, etc. all were terrible. Maybe they do this so guests don't order much alcohol? Waiters are a hit and miss, Marco Polo had a wonderful waiter who put on a show for us, while the Caribbean restaurant by the sea had a waiter who never once got our orders right, dozens of wrong orders or forgotten items in every sitting. Airport transport has many rules - for pickup, you must order 12-24 hours in advance, outside that window you're on your own. For dropoff, you must order the day before departure, can't pre-arrange 2 days in advance and you can't arrange the same day either, add some stress to your holiday. This resort benefits from its connection to neighboring GR Caribe by Solaris as their combined facilities and the prettier design of GR Caribe make the overall resorts experience more interesting and memorable.

The hotel is actually not in the Cancun hotel zone. There is nothing nearby. There is a shuttle bus out there, one way, but no return to the hotel. You have to take a taxi to go to the beach mall or whatever. inconvenient. Breakfast was okay, but dinner was average with fewer dishes than breakfast. We had dinner and it was said to be a buffet with only a few varieties and the taste was not very good. The hotel chair was not stable and I fell. The hotel service is just okay.
I will not stay at this hotel again when I go to Cancun.

GGuest UserBait and switch masters. Given the fact that this is a very popular resort, management obviously feels entitled to provide the service they deem minimally sufficient in order to maximize profits. My wife and I unknowingly made reservations for a takeover four day weekend. The group doing the takeover had their own events either away from the resort or in specific areas of the resort with no access available to the other guests. I had no issue with that fact given that they paid extra for their events. The fact that the group had over 80% of the rooms reserved resulted in the events organized for the rest of the guests, having next to no attendance, the club was dead every night we were there. The takeover group was very friendly and we had no issues with them. We didn’t see them very much. I requested a transfer to another one of their resorts but Adrian Guevara, supervisor on duty for Premier member services, was unwilling to transfer us unless I paid current prices for those resorts. I made my reservation for temptation ten months ago and even then, the rooms were far from inexpensive. I was not willing to pay more to be transferred. Mr Guevara was rude and the furthest thing from service oriented. Though the entertainment staff tried to improve the atmosphere, the playmakers were for the most part, the only ones on the dance floor every night we were there. Overall, a very unpleasant experience.
GGuest UserOverall we had a good stay. The hotel hosted our event of the Motosurf World Cup so I'm sure they have a lot of extra people then usual. With that being said there could have been more seating but I think we just had a lot of people there for the event. Bedroom provided ALOT of clothing storage space, beds were comfortable, a ceiling fan, daily room service (possibly twice daily on several occasions without asking), the rooms were just lovely overall. The staff were all very welcoming from cleaning crew, front desk, Gilberto and Moises always there for you when you needed help with bags, transpiration or a friendly face. There is an excursion office located in the hotel just a little off from the lobby. 3 kitchens to order from inside the hotel as well. (Common area) Located on the 12th floor there is a beautiful Gym with separate men and women sauna and indoor jacuzzi. (S floor) meeting and event rooms The hotel is conveniently located next to a shopping mall with plenty of dining options, shopping, OXXO (similar to 711), movie theatre, zip line, food court up top, a gym and so much more. We honestly went out to dinner every night here. ***** DO NOT GO TO Catina Kitchen Lat. 20. They literally looked at us Americans and saw dollar signs and made ordering extremely difficult as if they've never dealt with tourists before. We even spoke Spanish and the entire meal was just a really bad experience. *** Highly recommend CAO and Montemare Everything looks high end and food quality is, but the prices were so cheap it was just a fantastic experience to splurge with amazing meals and not break the bank. Masks were still worn around dining room and buffet, other than that not necessary. They have a little shop in the lobby that's nice for minor things and those forgotten items. Don't ask them to change the color or bend down extra, she gave me attitude because I asked her for a NON pink toothbrush for my boyfriend ”bro your really going to make me bend down again” .... Bro?!? (I'm a female and by no means a bro) I couldn't believe it more funny than anything. This hotel is more of a business luxury vibe, not a Cancun party hotel. Yet very nice if you like to come ”home” to tranquility. Thanks for hosting all of us!
This hotel was unbelievable good value. We stayed here for a night en route to Isle Mujeres. Lively small hotel with tropical garden and small Pool. A great introduction to tropical Mexico coming from a cold and wet Ireland. The young man in reception was so nice and spoke some English. So after a quick check in we went to our room to drop the bags as it was around 9pm and we meeded to eat. We went across the road to a lovely outdoor pizzeria and had a delicious pizza. Again staff there were so friendly. Came back to bed. The room had two double beds for 4 of us and it was grand. Hot showers, clean room and comfy beds. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. We thought it would be a continental Breakfast but we had a proper Mexican breakfast. We left that morning but could have stayed a few more days as it was so nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel . There were kids enjoying the pool as we left. The pool area is shaded as are the grounds so it’s like an oasis in the city.
GGuest UserWhere do I start from? Daniel , Erik and the whole squad were exceptional. SLS Cancun is situated in the Marina which is probably the most expensive and most luxurious place in the whole of Cancun. There are loads of restaurants and a big shopping mall literally 7-10 mins walk from the hotel. The Marina is amazing with loads of fine dinning and descent priced restaurants. I stayed in one of the suites which happens to have 2 bathrooms and a full ocean view. The best thing about this hotel and the area (the Marina) is how private, secure (tho Cancun is safe) and affluent the area is. I call the area little Miami. If you want a loud noisy area, this is not the place for you. But if you want a bit of class and then drive into the noisy area and back to peace then SLS is for you. People pay to come to the beach so it’s a private beach but obviously free for hotel guest , so you will never see a rowdy group of people. I rented a car during my stay through the hotel without even paying a deposit to the car company and obviously you get Valet parking every time. The guys are attentive and always happy to help.Ask for Daniel and Erik, those guys are everything you need. I’ll see you soon.

Location. Rooms, hotel grounds
The location is about 5-10 min walk to the main area of downtown with all the shops and markets.
The property was very well Kept and clean. My room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable. The pool was a nice bonus after exploring all day.
The property has a front gate so it made the hotel feel very secure and safe at all hours.
Overall no issues with the hotel itself.
Cons
Communication and checkin
I waited outside the gate for 40 minutes to check in because no one was at the front desk. I tried to call with no answer and ctrip also tried calling with no answer. When I finally saw got checked in the man on the phone said I absolutely did not wait that long and he has just talked me to (he did not). There was no apology for the wait or anything and it came off like that fact that I waited so long was a lie (I do have my conversation with the ctrip agent where we talked about both of us not being able to get ahold of the hotel).
I had also asked them if they could help me order a taxi for 4am. The man responded and when I asked to confirm price he didn’t respond for 4 days at which point I had already checked out and left.
The hotel is in a nice location in hotel zone of Cancun, the premise around the swimming pool is beautiful and the stuff in the reception is friendly. The room was quite big. On the negative side, you cannot open the windows because of the mosquitos. It is nothing to protect you against them. It is EXTREMELY HUMID and smells MOLD. I couldn’t breath at the second day and I started coughing. It can be noisy. The bedsheets have marks and are worn out as many things in the room. I found a living huge cockroach in the bathroom which I killed. - They need a good pest control On 13th February 2024 at 1:30 AM, a security guy from the stuff knock hard my door and since I didn’t reply, he OPEN IT. I woke up and scream to him and he asked “occupado?” then he left. I confronted the next day, but he played it dumb. I was feeling unsafe after that.
GGuest UserI enjoyed my stay at Krystal Urban Hotel! I received excellent service from the staff. I felt at home. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone on a tight budget The Aquamarina restaurant serve delicious food. The breakfast is my favorite because it has a variety of home cooked foods. The staff, Rodolfo and Karen, work very hard managing the breakfast shift well- they keep the shift running smoothly.
The beach is really nice and kept clean. We came the Oct 14-21, 2024. It rained every day we were there. We played on the beach and jumped waves when the weather permitted it. We swam in the pool and enjoyed time together. We did visit Chichen Itza. I recommend visiting this one of the 7 wonders of the world. Breakfast and lunch buffet had a lot of good options. Dinners were a nightmare because the food didn't always come as described on the menu. The wait and food service was extremely slow. The house keeping did a good job of cleaning our rooms. The outside beach and pool staff were very good at checking in on us to make sure we had what we wanted. The list of childrens activites never happened which was sad. I don't know if that was because of the rain, or they just didn't do them.
To be perfectly honest, this was my 2nd stay with hotel plaza kokai. the room rates historically are fair and expectations should be adjusted accordingly. my first stay was for an extended period of time (3 months) and it was a vary enjoyable experience. Which is why I chose to return. However, this stay was incredibly awful. from the moment i arrived the shenanigans began. The hotel intentionally over booked the property where-by not having either of my 2 rooms available ( my stay was for 10 days). therefore, we were put into their Jr suite.. together for 1 night and told we would get a free breakfast... the free breakfast never happened. the compensation offer was nowhere near the cost of both rooms for 1 night. and to be honest the room was worthy of being called a Jr suite. as if that was not enough, i was charged $60 USD for my husband being in my room??? my room was a double with 2 double beds!!! what is more disappointing is the daytime front desk staff was not interactive and had attitudes because i dared to question the overbooking the extra charge for my husband and the unacceptable compensation offer. i did book through *********** and reported the matter to them and booking was quite helpful but were not able to secure compensation for the overbooking nor were they able to get the additional money charged to me for my husband. however, they did give me a *********** credit to my account. the hotel gave some rediculous excuse about the room being a single room (which it was not). aside from those issues there was a rather large group of travelers whos region and national origin i will leave out but lets simply say their behaviors and attitudes were gruff rude inconsiderate and carried airs of aggressive entitlement. they were allowed to occupy the considerably small pool area from the hour it opened through the hour it closed (approx. 12 hours a day) all the while chain smoking and chain drinking. this allowed behavior was allowed and successfully prevented any other guests to enjoy any time poolside. They hung clothing out of the front of house windows for the purpose of drying them (underwire, swim shorts, collared shirts, t-shirts etc.). which gave the already aged looking hotel a guttural appearance. i would like to add... the housekeeping maintenance and restaurant staff were amazing. considering the dated and often broken-down condition of the hotel and equipment the staff did an amazing job with their duties. the rooms are kept tidy and sanitized. the hall floors are glittering and shiny. the restaurant is attended with the greatest pride and attention to diners. The menu is decent and considering the hotel setup, the cooks do a good job filling orders. among the restaurant staff Osacar and Orlando go above and beyond the call of their assigned duty. I wish i could say i will return to hotel plaza kokai but i will not. the fiasco of the rooms and charges and p*ss poor compensation and terrible attitude of the day time front desk
GGuest UserThe accommodations at All Ritmo were exceptional! The desk staff was efficient, friendly, and answered all questions in detail. The dining staff - waiters and servers also were cordial and ensured that everything necessary for a fantastic experience was provided. The same with the pool bar staff.... very friendly and accommodating. The desk staff arranged transportation several times - it was on time and the drivers were cordial. I am recommending that my family and friends also choose All Ritmo when they travel to Cancun. My son and I thank the staff of All Ritmo for a wonderful holiday.
