My wife and I stayed for 6 nights. The apartment was serviced half way through our stay. The kitchen was well equipped. One of the kitchen lights wasn't working. It was fixed as soon as I reported it to reception. The hotel is close to the trans-Canada highway and most guests will have a car. We didn't have a car so it was a decent hike into town. I would certainly choose the hotel for my next stay in Canmore.

The room was better than we thought, it was clean, and the front desk was very caring. Although the anti-smoke facility in the room kept making warning sounds because the battery was out of power, the Western lady sweetly and patiently helped us fix it.

Unfortunately we did not have a great experience due to the room we were assigned. We paid for a Deluxe King .. the word deluxe should be removed from the description. The room had no balcony as advertised, the AC .. which did not work well at all..was a big old portable loud unit sitting in the room floor with a vent to outside thru a partially open window (no screen on it). All the furnishing were old and very “well used” . There was a kitchenette which we did not request which was ok since no maid service . The only plus of this room was the bathroom. It was renovated. Nothing else in the unit was. By far the worse room we have had on our many stays this trip to the National Parks. We did ask for another room but was told sold out yet our entire stay did not see another person on level 2 and we were here for 3 nights. The exterior etc of this facility is very nice. Wish the room had been the same. This facility is not downtown…interstate on one side.. train tracks town center side. Silver Creek does not run by it but not too far away.

Silver Creek Lodge was an average hotel. There was an issue with the bathroom doors that had broken locks (both bathrooms in one suite). Brought it to the management attention but they said we can either take the room as it is or leave. Terrible attitude of management and front staff. Beds weren’t as comfortable as a regular hotel bed. Only good thing is that it has kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine in the rooms.

Would not stay here again. We rented a two bedroom suite. The beds were the most uncomfortable we have ever slept in. There was a hole in the ceiling from a missing speaker and there were cords hanging everywhere from tvs. We paid a lot to stay here and were very disappointed.

DO NOT stay at Silver Creek Lodge and read before you even consider it. I paid over $400 per night and was highly disappointed. This was the worst lodge/hotel I have ever stayed at. It’s dirty, and most of the front desk was unfriendly except for one Asian girl who was very helpful and friendly. The main bedroom had no shower, and the water was coming from the top of the ceiling to fill the tub, something I had never seen before. It was useless. Our whole family had to share one shower. We asked for a higher floor, but it was ignored.

Très jolie réception typique. Accueil très pro et vu que nous avions réservé 5 nuits nous sommes surclassé dans une très grande chambre. En fait nous avons une cuisine équipée et une machine à laver ,,!!! Le lit king size c'est un lit armoire de 140 avec un trou au niveau de la tête : c'est insupportable. Proche du Downtown par la piste cyclable. Nous avions un énorme frigo qui même au minimum fait un bruit infernal. La chambre même si c'est plus un mini appartement n'a pas été nettoyée ni les poubelles vidées pendant 5 jours. Bel établissement mais peut mieux faire pour être au top.

I stayed in unit 211. This was a one bedroom unit with full kitchen and balcony and booked through booking dot com. The unit looked well maintained, but it lacked hot water in the kitchen and the dishwasher was broken. Also, the main tv had to HDMI input working, so that was also a problem. However, the rest of the unit was clean and functional. The front desk were responsive and quick to send up a maintenance person (who couldnt really fix the problems). But at the price point I was paying, these were minor inconveniences. Underground parking was convenient. The bathroom had hot water (which was more important). I would stay here again at this price point.

Made exceptional memories. This is one of many stays at this place in Canmore. We find having a full kitchen, separate bedroom with ensuite, nice living room and balcony just the best. Lots of amazing hiking and sensational dining in this lovely community. A must see.
