Hotels near Les Caprices de Marilyn, Cannes

First of all, up to 5 stars of the hotel lacked a convenient location of the roses on the sides of the bed (one was at the bed and the other near the entrance). The rest of the hotel is good. It was warm in the room, the air conditioner worked constantly for heating. The room was clean as in the photo on the Internet. The bathroom was new, with fresh repair. We were provided with additional hygiene. There is a staircase and an elevator in the hotel. To get to the rooms you have to walk through the breakfast room and climb up the other staircase above. The concierge usually sits in the breakfast room, but as a crowd to someone comes - immediately approaches the entrance. Very polite all, we were able to leave the bags to the receptacle after the eviction. When entering the boarding house, they asked for a document - they took the driver's license instead of a passport without problems. I asked for a room with the balcony, but it wasn 't as we were told, but we got the French balcony - beautiful !!! The view was on the city, good.

The hotel offers fully equipped studios/chambers. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Located in a quiet street. Great bathroom also. A convenient breakfast. Reserve as soon as possible, the rates are more interesting and the establishment is quickly attacked.

The hotel is very dark when you walk in. We arrived and the desk staff were pleasant. However the tiny lift opened and there was a terrible smell, I got into the lift and it slammed shut and nearly caught me in the door, it then took me to the top floor, then back down to the floor our room was on, when the lift opened, the smell was 10 times worse, it smelt like rotten sewage and got worse the further down the corridor we went and into the bedroom, I went down to reception to speak to them and I spoke to the gentleman behind the desk, he said I'm going home speak to my colleague, so I waited for his colleague to return, I told the lady about the smell and I was shocked with her reaction, she just said ”can't you smell it everywhere, the whole hotel smells”, she reluctantly came up to our room and just said she would see if there was another room but it would be the same and she left, we waited 20 minutes and she never returned or called so I called British airways (who we booked the holiday through) and they called the hotel, the hotel said the same to British airways, so british airways advised us to find and pay for another hotel and they would refund us, which they did. When we went down to reception to check out, there wasn't even as much as a sorry. Very disappointed and would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Pros: Basic hotel with nice staff. Negatives: 1. Pillow cases don’t fit, leaving yellowed & completely uncovered pillows open to touch your skin/face while sleeping lounging. 2. Non functioning AC in the rooms. Speaking with staff and asking them to visit the room, I was informed this is the normal functionality of the AC- which leaves the room the same stifling, humid temperature as the corridor- even hotter than outside in the summer heat (at night 20C outside, 29C in the room). Staff helped me open the room window fully to help let in air but with window facing a closed wall with other room windows this is no solution. I considered propping open the corridor door to allow some air flow and allow at least some relief- however clearly this isn’t a safe option…. Loud homeless people & groups of kids in the streets below intensify the annoyance of laying in bed, uncomfortable, sweating, unable to sleep with the heat & noise- don’t even think about being able to pull the duvet over yourself. Overall 1/10 comfort. If the above described experience feels like a 4-star hotel experience to you, then this is the place for you. Overview: Deeply, deeply unhappy with my stay and would not ever risk return. Cannes has loads of far better hotels at the same or even significantly less price point. (I’ve lived and worked in Italy and the south of France for 12 years, visiting Cannes at minimum three times a year during this period). There were other available options I know from previous trips that are very convenient and comfortable- for 50€ less a night… However some friends living here mentioned this hotel and I thought to try something new… extremely dissatisfied with the outcome.

My son 17 years in transit in Cannes, nighted on August 11, 2021. The room was badly made, hair hair, dirty shirt found in the cartridge, a receptionist who doesn't want to hear anything... My son didn't know, he should have taken the shirt in the cartridge on the photo! The receptionist suspects we have put the coat in the room to obtain a refund, I call to explain the facts calmly and he hangs me on the nose and strokes on the gate he asks me if we don't keep the shocked in memory and if I'm going to continue to do it long C....( I have no right to write the true word employed by this person then I replaced it C H I E R) I regret and stupid image of tourism, The hotel is a very good place to change the job, but I invite you to change the job, no excuse! I didn't want to make any comments or notes in tourism but your non-respect forces me to do so. A mistake is always possible, but learn to manage it and at least apologize to you, it's not the refund we expected! It's a pity to have such behavior as you have in the whole of good notes ! FD

The hotel service is good, especially the service in the rooftop restaurant. The people are warm and in place. I also like the decoration and facilities of the room very much. It's in Mediterranean style. It's very comfortable to live in, especially the mattress. It feels like you're sinking into it.

What a great find. Nestled on Cannes heights this 4 * is a little gem. Great rooms (some with sea view), nice pool, and excellent restaurant (the chef won the prestigious “meilleur ouvrier de France” award”, this is a great place to relax, meet friends and/or have a couple break; and the buzz of the Croisette and its beaches is a few minutes away. Finally, the staff’s professionalism and kindness are second to none, a keeper.

Close to the business trip, very style hotel, very suitable for business trips and parents, facilities and equipment are more complete is less laundry room. Staff is very welcoming
