Mirage Whitsundays Reviews

Our stay at the Mirage was a fantastic family getaway! The service was great in that staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating. We had an issue with the dryer door, I called the service desk and this was fixed while we were out, and additional towels were provided in the meantime. The resort itself had breathtaking views, clean and spacious apartment, great breakfast which accommodated my vegan diet and was only a 30 minute from Proserpine airport (and although we were at the very end apartment, they transported us there). The 4 star rating for the facilities was because non of the lifts around the resort (not the apartment ones) were working during our visit, so we had to carry our pram up and down flights of stairs to get to the pool, restaurant and the boardwalk. The 4 star rating for the location was because although we had multiple restaurants within walking distance, they were all closed for most of the time that we were there (we stayed Sunday-Thursday). We traveled with our 2.5 month baby and had the most relaxing time; I would highly recommend the Mirage.

Completely exceeded our expectations. Great apartment with a great ocean view. Wouls definitely book again for our next vacation to Whitsundays.

Had a lovely stay at the apartments. The one bedroom was massive Full kitchen and laundry lounge room. Lovely deep bath Views are amazing Walking distance to many places. Breakfast was lovely staff were very friendly. The 1 resturant and bar shuts at 2pm. Awesome views. Pools were great. Adults only pool snd the general pool that has day beds

The room is big, the surrounding environment is OK, but the hygiene is worrying. I found the shower head was dirty when I took a shower at night. I went to the front desk and they said they were off work and would come back to work at 10 o'clock tomorrow to check it for us... The next day they said it was scale... I found ants all over the wall behind the bed in the middle of the night. I didn't dare to sleep at night. I told the front desk that they had disinfected it, but there were still ants the next night... The breakfast was not delicious either. For a hotel over 2,000 yuan with this level of hygiene and service, I don't want to come again no matter how beautiful the scenery is...

I felt a little disappointed when I moved in, because it was more than 2,000 RMB a night. We thought it should be a new room, but we found it was old. 1. There were many unwashed stains on the sofa. It can't be said to be dirty, but it's not very new. 2. The balcony was very dirty afterwards, with a lot of sand and dust, and it was not cleaned up. (It may also be because there are many flowers and plants on the first floor where we live) 3. The hotel swimming pool is quite small. 4. The lighting in the second bedroom and the public bathroom is relatively dim, which is very uncomfortable, and the window cannot be opened, which is very stuffy. 5. The bathroom structure of the master bedroom is very unreasonable. The bathtub faces the bed, so it is very inconvenient to go to the washing area. The shower area has a small amount of water and there is no glass partition, which easily wets a large area. In addition, the washbasin is very low and inconvenient. The facilities may be for the convenience of the disabled, but they are not friendly to ordinary customers. Overall, I think it is not worth staying in this hotel for 2,000 yuan a night. If you can stay in a very new and good hotel in China, you can stay in a very new and good hotel. So I personally don't recommend this hotel. If you want to stay overnight in Airlie Beach, I would recommend Airlie Beach Hotel. Although I haven't stayed there, a travel agency employee once recommended it to me and said that this is the choice of many tourists. It is equipped with more complete facilities and is cheaper than Mirage Resort Hotel because it mainly has guest rooms rather than apartments. It is located in the city center of the island. There are many good restaurants and shops downstairs. It is separated from the beach by a road. Although it may be a little noisy, it is also much more convenient.

The hotel has no service on weekends. It is very good in the local area. It is relatively old, but other estimates are worse. Overall, it is not bad.

I really like this place. First of all, I would like to thank the lady at the front desk, Cai, for her assistance in helping us contact the airport pick-up company because we wanted to get to the airport early. The room is large, fully equipped and has a beautiful view. The breakfast is also very rich and everyone is very enthusiastic. I will definitely come here next time

The room is large, clean and bug-free. The area is 150²➕. Both the balcony and the bedroom have sea views. It is equipped with two swimming pools and a gym. Bring your own breakfast and it tastes good. Recommended to stay.

Service: There is a Chinese-speaking lady at the front desk, and then a staff member will drive you to the downstairs of the unit where you live. It's a long way from the main street. There's a Burger King and a big supermarket nearby, but you still have to walk a while. To go to the main street, you can take the bus on the main road, which is very convenient. It is recommended to buy a Daily ticket.
