The Palo Duro Retirement Home is also in the neighborhood, and many of our guests are visiting loved ones at the facility. We offer free Wi-Fi and free breakfast at our Best Western Canyon hotel. Start off the morning right with a hearty, all-American meal of endless buttery waffles, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit and pastries, along with 100% Arabica coffee and juices. We are within walking distance to restaurants, but leave the most important meal of the day to us. Lunch and dinner are when barbeque is calling.
An indoor pool is ideal for relaxing, and some guests at our Canyon hotel prefer a more laid back vacation. If adventure is calling, Palo Duro Canyon State Park is filled with hiking trails and birding opportunities. Biking, taking on the trails, or slipping into a Texas Musical are all favorite activities in this part of the Lonestar State.

A little older BW, but clean room n comfy bed. Staff was Amazing ! Items we didn't love-only a pool, No hot tub and no thermostat. With no thermostat, fan runs constantly.

I stayed at the Best Western Palo Duro in Canyon Texas because my granddaughter was performing in Texas! Summer musical in Palo Duro Canyon. The staff was friendly and suggested a perfect room for me and my pet cats. Everything was cleaned and nice. The breakfast well standard was satisfactory and the attendant was friendly. I would recommend this place to stay if you’re in Canyon Texas.

Great hotel nice very accommodating staff . Gave us waters , snacks , plenty towels blankets etc . The room was clean and big . 2 ceiling fans was a plus . Quiet . Breakfast and coffee good . Nice staff everywhere

First assigned room had no closet. Moved to stand alone room at back of parking lot. Big closet but only two hangars and when asked for more, only got three more between two persons that more hooks had to be installed. Bathroom had no heat or ventilation, and no door hangar. Incident with person who delivered hangars and more tissue...delivered them in the bathroom while I (female) was in the shower!!! Mom specifically said not to go in but apparently there was a language issue accoeding to the second delivery person who said they would take care of it... whatever that meant. Seems to me NO is universally understood! Bed was hard. Won't stay again.

For 2 adults and 3 children under 12yo the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The pullout couch bed mattress was not comfortable, even for children. One spent on a palette on the floor but didn’t complain. Good breakfast. The parking lot was packed that night. Arriving late after Texas musical I got the last parking space on the property! Overall, I’d go back there.

The highlight of this stay was the staff and breakfast. Tia, the front desk clerk was so very helpful and accommodating. When we got to the first room we were given, the door was propped open which kind of freaked us out. The door handle was also loose so she offered to move us. In the second room, one of the beds qas either broken or had been dismantled in some way. This hotel clearly needs some TLC. Breakfast was very good - eggs ,sausage, biscuits and gravy, Texas shaped waffles. Plus cereal, yogurt, English muffins, toast, fruit. Probably one of the best breakfasts I've had in a while. Just hope they get the rooms fixed!
