Booked a two night stay and left within hours of check in due to safety hazards found in my assigned room No 321. I do take these things seriously. I would not overload an electrical socket nor would I leave an unsecured, ancient electrical cord on the floor at home. (Same socket as TV. Electrical cord to window air conditioner) It is unacceptable practice from a hotel.There were unsecured wires hanging down a wall from the TV to the socket . The front desk staff said they could not refund the staying to call Russ the Manager in the morning. I spoke with Russ the manager who agreed to refund me 1 night to my credit card. Insufficient but agreed to it. Still waiting for the credit and a receipt to be emailed back.

The Inn of Cape May is an historic and charming visit to days gone by. The inn is quite large with 4 floors and all sorts of rooms to chose from. Fun fact, the inn has the very first elevator in NJ which is still working! The lobby and bar are beautifully decorated and offer a very friendly atmosphere. We found our room to be clean and cozy. Furnishings were a bit sparse...the room had one chair and there were two of us! Our room had an ocean view and very old wooden framed windows that we were able to open for the fresh sea breeze. There is a pool and a lovely restaurant/bar. Don't expect 4 star furnishings and amenities but do expect a perfectly charming and warm welcome in one of Cape Mays oldest and cherished establishments.

The Hotel is older but very clean, our room was a little small but comfortable could have used a chair, And bathroom a shelf to put your toiletries on but otherwise spotless, The hotel itself was of world charm! Perfect location, staff was super friendly! It was our first time to Cape May will definitely be returning! The pool was beautiful,

A lovely & relaxing retreat spent at this hotel! I was fortunate enough to enjoy a corporate retreat for work here. The service was amazing & every detail catered to us! Rooms were clean & cozy. Absolutely can’t beat the proximity to the beach too! Hope to be back soon!

Came for a company retreat to Cape May. Stayed one night in the lovely Inn of Cape May. The beds were very comfortable, staff are friendly and helpful, and the drinks were delicious! Great location to the beach and Main Street with lots of shops and restaurants.

We came for a work event and it was amazing! The beach is right there, the service was great (shout out to Angel and Brennan) and rooms were lovely. The rooms are updated and well designed. We also enjoyed the pool and all the comfortable amenities like the porch and sitting room.

Excellent stay! This is our second summer returning and enjoyed just as much as our first visit! Hotel is in a great location, the staff was always friendly and helpful and the room was cozy and inviting! This unique old school hotel provides everything you need! 10/10 - will come again!

This was a great location, right across from the beach and walkable to the downtown shopping. I love the old building and architecture, but know that that entails old time issues like a small room and bathroom. There was plenty of parking. The guest services were very friendly.

This was our second visit to the Inn of Cape May in the last 6 months. The location is wonderful: across the street from the beach and promenade and a short walk to many restaurants and stores. Parking is easy too. We stayed on the second floor with access to an outside deck where we enjoyed morning coffee and afternoon sangria. Although the Inn is a bit worn, the staff is friendly, welcoming, and made our stay so nice. From Angel at the front desk, Michael and Dougkon at breakfast, and Jill who seemed to be everywhere, we were always made to feel comfortable. On the down side: the room air conditioner was loud and there was no ceiling fan. The bathroom would definitely be improved with just a new shower head! We look forward to future visits!
