City Lodge Hotel V&A Waterfront Reviews

Location with easy access to V&A Waterfront. Staffs friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, our room window is facing the hotel laundry / maintenance area which is noisy until they finish work at 11pm.

Comfortable stay, good location .

Convenient , comfortable, beautiful view of the Canal and much to do at the V&A waterfront.

The service is good, the facilities are very good, the hotel below is good, I really enjoyed my six-night stay

Great location. You can walk to the aquarium at Waterfront in 10 minutes along the canal bank without crossing the highway. Of the shortcomings, I can only say that there is only 1 euro socket, take a portable charger with you if you need to charge several devices

Found the walk to the Waterfront further than expected. Disappointed with the first room allocated, however changed to more favourable room. Very comfortable bed and value for money for the area.

Was let down by the hotel I had previously booked so managed to book City Lodge at the last minute. From check-in right through my stay I felt very welcome and the staff were amazing. The restaurant was also very nice and food was amazing.

Modern, quiet and large with great laundry service. Good location close to MOCAA and cruise terminal.

One of the best decisions I made was staying at The City Lodge at the V and A Waterfront. Location is perfect. It is an attractive looking place about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the V and A Waterfront (where there are tons of resturants (try La Prada. Food is delicious), souvenir shopping, grocery store (in the mall in the basement), etc.. There are cops everywhere, so it was a safe walk that I did solo all the time, as I was traveling by myself. It is busy during the day around the hotel, but at night, as it is an area with a lot of corporate businesses, it got really deserted. I took ubers if going out at night. The hotel itself was clean and quiet. The staff are hard workers! Always willing to help make your stay amazing. They have breakfast and dinner at an extra charge. You have the choice between Contenental Breakfast or English Breakfast. I was there for a while so I did go to the coffee shop next door to the hotel and had oatmeal and tea there twice. It was delicious. The location is central to everything. 3 mins in an Uber to Gold Restaurant. 5 mins to Long street. The room was well appointed. Large bathroom, huge shower, air conditioning, refrigerator, windows open for fresh air, couch, sitting area with desk large mirror and good lighting. Vending machines in the lobby and they sell large bottles of cold water at the bar. The 'pool' is really hottub size and it is right next to the hotel restaurant. It was not clean. I was so busy, I wouldnt have used it anywa

We loved looking out onto the canal and the convenience of being able to walk to the waterfront. The staff was also extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Despite the hotel having renovation work going on they still provided a great service. I would use and recommend them again

Good location within easy walking of city and V & A. Well equipped room at a good price. Recommended

Location was chosen as it was central to the V&A Waterfront, the start of the Cape Cycle Tour 2024 race and the finish in Green Point. Loved the position of the lodge even though it is on the busy road. The Lodge is clean, the room is small but fitted all that we needed. Room was clean and tidy. Staff are all friendly. Will definitely return to the lodge.
