Found this place on. The check-in was great and the room was cozy, very functional. They had basic utensils to cook save for frying pan. bed was comfortable up the aisle, but the sofas were roomy enough. Choose the Mountain View side so you can open the windows and let in fresh air. The lodge had DIY laundry service and lots of shops around the lodge. 15 minutes' walk from CITCC and 20 mins from V&A Waterfront. It's the centre of Cape Town.

The Old Banks Hotel was our first night after landing in Cape Town. We were received extremely friendly with a big smile at the reception and that is the first thing I would like to praise: the staff. Every single staff member was very friendly and welcoming. There you immediately got into a positive mood after the long journey. Our room was large, clean and very nice. The breakfast was varied and delicious. If you want to be right in the center, this is the place to be. The location is right in the middle! Thank you very much for the great stay.

The hotel was clean and comfortable in a good location, just a short taxi ride to the waterfront. We were on the first floor (apparently fully booked so no rooms with a view available) so no view of table mountain but we could see a homeless camp on the road opposite. Cape Town is a beautiful city but there is a lot of poverty and you need to take care. The rooftop bar has incredible views and great cocktails although the food was of the ‘deep fried’ variety. Overall, it was good value for money,

I am in Cape Town for a conference and unable to stay at the hotel of my choice as they are fully booked. At the stay easy it’s been one disappointment after another since first contact. I was checked into a single room despite booking a double. The bed was so small I literally fell off with a single turn. Trust me the beds are that small. If you are over 5ft7 this is not a place for you. After putting in a complaint the next day I was moved to the double, here the sink was clogged and despite my requests was never fixed. No international Tv news channels were on offer. When prompted the reception said they would sort it out and never did. I received a similar response when I asked for a shower cap. At the Stay Easy you’ll be lucky if your call to the switch board is picked up. I never experienced that. The receptionist when we arrived was brutally honest, yes we know you booked a double but we are putting you into a single call your booking office, this happens all the time. The gym is not worth using, the pool is a pond. All true I must say. One thing one must note is that the pool and gum are not at the StayEasy but the building next door so you’ll need to leg it out of your hotel to the one next door. Finally please don’t use the vending machine I’ve lost money to it. It first work and the hotel does not have a sign to reflect that, though the door man seemed very apologetic when you don’t receive what you’ve paid for…..

The luxury and sophistication allowed for a very relaxing and most understated yet extraordinary experience, and the view from the 26th floor didn't look too bad either!!!!

Beautiful city boutique hotel with fab staff, creative culinary offerings and stylish industrial look rooms. End the night on their rooftop bar with one of their amazing cocktails! Well done!
