It's a lovely lodge. Each villa and the main building has a wonderful view of the lagoon below and the ocean. The pool is beautiful, and the food is good. It has fairly easy access to the Carate entrance of Corcovado National Park. The service is quite nice. The room had a small soaking pool and patio. There is no AC, but the room had lots of ventilation through the patio doors. The beds are comfortable.

We can’t recommend Laguna Vista Villas enough if you love unique wildlife, stunning views, and genuinely kind people. It was an amazing experience. Franco picked us up from Puerto Jimenez and even stopped to show us spider monkeys on the way. When we arrived, the staff gave us a warm and wonderful welcome. Despite being in a remote location, every meal was delicious and featured authentic Costa Rican flavors, thanks to Chef Santos. We spotted capuchin monkeys at breakfast, spider monkeys from the pool, and howler monkeys at sunset from the patio. Daily sightings of resident scarlet macaws and toucans, plus other unique wildlife of the Osa Peninsula, made our stay even more magical. Johnathan, the hotel manager, set up an excellent tour to Corcovado Park with John, a knowledgeable guide who showed us anteaters, monkeys, and poison dart frogs, along with some breathtaking sights. Fredrico was an outstanding fishing guide in the lagoon beneath our villa, and Santos cooked up a fantastic meal with the fish we caught that evening. The staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming, and we hope to come back soon. If you're looking for a truly unforgettable experience in one of the most biodiverse places on Earth, be sure to add Laguna Vista Villas to your bucket list.

This place is in a very remote area, you will need a 4x4 car, two hours deep in the forest, the lodge is sitting on a cliff looking at the laguna and the ocean, the villas have a 360 degree view and on top of all sit the infinity pool with stunning views. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is great considering how deep in the forest you are. The national park is steps away and you can do various tour but you need to reserve in advance. Unforgettable experience, by far the best place I have been to relax and recharge, I will stay again.

Forget the other lodges in the area (unless you want to spend over $1000 a night). This place is so much better than - for example - Luna Lodge. The rooms are better, the view is better, the food is better, the pool is better.... You can do all the jungle tours etc if that's what you want - or you can just sit on your private terrace and let the monkeys (capuchins & spider), macaws, vultures etc come to you. Which they will. Beyond question our favourite (out of six) hotels in Costa Rica.

Excellent location and very nice host. Thank you Keiko and Greg for nice evenings and also for the perfect stay. The sunset is amazing and Margarita also. Perfect stay in real Costa Rica in a wild location. Animals all over, sound of waves, good quality time. JUST PERFECT!

One of the most beautiful natural settings I have experienced in 75+ countries: Pure escapism to a raw and undeveloped place on the pacific coast, overlooking a lagoon. And that is the catch. It is isolated, quiet, undeveloped, and simple. It is not luxury, and it is not exciting. It is an "eco lodge", but of a high order. It is close to Corcovado park, and an hour from Puerto Jimenez on a long bumpy road. There is very little out there. And that is either the appeal, or the shortcoming. so go with the right understanding in mind. The Villas are separate buildings (I think 8 different ones). From ours, we looked out to the Pacific, and could not see anyone, and no one could see us. We had an outdoor patio and our own dipping pool and hammock. Beautiful. But not all villas have the dipping pools so plan accordingly. The 'shared pool' is gorgeous as per the photos. Meals are good quality, but simple local fare, and fixed (no menu, no choice). Staff are super friendly and helpful, but limited English comprehension + conversation. The rooms/villas were spacious, clean, and sparse. Nice fan, but no A.C. (because it is an eco lodge). A little buggy! WiFi was spotty (off and on) and only accessible for us at the main dining lodge. - Great wildlife all around, with great viewing right from your own villa patio.

Laguna Vista has an amazing location perched on a hill overlooking the lagoon and the ocean, but what really made our family's experience special was the care of the staff. Jonathan and the team members went above and beyond to cater to our needs. For example, when we expressed loving mangos, the team made sure we had a plate of mangos at breakfast each morning. They even came to the villa for "spider catch and release". The villa had a wonderful outdoor shower and a freshwater plunge pool on the terrace. We were greeted by cara blanca (capuchin) monkeys every afternoon who liked to romp and play in the trees by the pool and above our terrace. Pairs of scarlet macaws flew by regularly. Our family fully enjoyed the food, pool, service, and wildlife at the resort - as well as in nearby Corcovado National Park. The owner, Greg, was very attentive as well and promptly responded to all communications before and during our stay.
