After arriving late in the night, it was awesome to come into a room that was spotless and the room temperature was perfect. The next morning we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful guy, Joe, who made sure we had everything we needed for a yummy breakfast. Joe was so very personable and kind. Home2Suites is lucky to have such a welcoming and hospitable employee.

Staff are efficient and helpful. The place is really clean, and well maintained. It is located very close to a grocery store, which saved me a lot of money since the room has a microwave and mini-fridge. I appreciated that the rooms have a window that you can open for fresh air. And the blackout curtains work really well. The bed and pillows were comfortable. That being said, I did not get much sleep. The doors in the facility are LOUD. Unless you are conscientious enough to slowly guide the door closed behind you, it will slam with a very loud jolt. So any time a guest came or went during the night, there would be a loud BANG! jolting me awake. Like really loud. multiple times throughout the night. I hope the management is able to find a solution to this, as it really was the only significant thing bad about the property. I also wish that they would add a laundry room for guests to be able to do their laundry. I think that would be a great addition (and theoretically should pay for itself over time).

Location is okay. Location aside, this place is TERRIBLE! Bug problem, hygiene problem, and plumbing issues. First, I reported the bug problem, and to fix, an employee came to my room to spray FEBREEZE. While Febreeze doesn't fix bug problems, it did help with the smoke smell in my non-smoking room. Second, there was a plumbing problem, so they moved me to another room, only to discover there was vomit on the nightstand , vomit the floor, and vomit on the bedskirt. I'm not sure how housekeeping missed that. Thirdly, they moved me to another room, that that room didn't have vomit, and it was so late, we had to make the hard choice of sleeping in the rental car, or hunker down for the night in this nightmare of a hotel. In retrospect, I should have chosen sleeping in the rental car. We asked for a refund, but their local management refused. Spare yourself the hassle, and pick a different hotel or sleep in your car.

Great location to many of the sights within the Shawnee National Forest. Giant City State Park which is a must see was very close. The rooms were updated, clean, comfortable and had a nice layout. Our room was on the 1st floor and we could park by pool and come in a side door which was very convenient. The bathroom shower had great water pressure. The hair dryer was a little weak. Internet was just ok. Breakfast was good. Room had microwave, fridge, and coffeemaker. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

They were remodeling when I stayed with them, but the lobby & room were clean and the staff was very friendly.
