I booked a room with an ocean view for my boyfriend and I for his birthday and we loved it! I was a little unsure about how our stay would be based on the mixed reviews I read beforehand but I decided to give it a try. It was incredibly close to the beach and they offered chairs, umbrelllas and towels for you to take to the beach. They also had record players in each room and had a fun selection of records for us to choose from; we ended up borrowing 3. Anthony, the front desk guy, was so attentive and kind throughout our time there. He welcomed us with a couple of glasses of Prosecco and showed us to our room. He also helped us with a late checkout and remembered our names which made it more personal. I could go on about how great this place was. I can’t wait to come back and share it with all my friends.

Love the room so modern the bathroom was really nice. Great water pressure. Love the upstairs terrace. The view is spectacular. The bed us comfy. The front desk with Anthony was super friendly and helpful. The room was imaculate and close to many restaurants and bars and coffee.

The hotel itself and decor are beautiful! All the goodies and friendly service made us feel like complete VIP’s. The room was beautiful and the record player in each room was such a nice touch! Also, the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever felt! It was a perfect place to enjoy my partner’s birthday :) the location is perfect too! Walking distance from so many restaurants, bars, and the beach! 10/10!

Loved, loved, loved Cardiff by the Sea Lodge. Close to the beaches, shopping, restaurants with a groovy vibe..beautiful baths, stylish rooms, comfy beds, and wonderful staff with true attention to the details! I loved the roof deck seating area with ocean views. The Lodge was a quiet oasis in a very cool part of San Diego ....i will definitely stay here again.

Cute and Quaint, location was great, as well as conveniently located Parking is under ground of hotel. Room was clean, a very comfortable bed and pillow. Love the record player and options of having records to play. Also a great coffee machine with options for a hot coffee Hope to come back soon

Very clean, comfy beds, modern boho feel, large shower, and steps to the beach. Just lots of stairs no elevator, which was fine with me but may not be for someone else, It had record players and fridge in every room. Coffee and snacks in lobby. Staff helpful.

The aesthetic of the hotel is fantastic. The room was so cute and the bed was very comfortable. We had coffee on the rooftop looking at the ocean and it was so peaceful. It was a great staycation to celebrate Mother’s Day and my husband’s birthday. We’ll stay again!

Beautiful boutique hotel stylishly designed and they thought of everything equipping the room. Scenery and location can’t be beat and surrounding area is vibrant, homey and full of great eating choices. Wonderful staff assisting with all needs. Roof top patio is spectacular. We will stay again if we find our way back to this part of California.

Wow… we had such a great time at Cardiff by the Sea Lodge. Our only regret was in not spending more time here. Beautifully decorated and appointed. Clean and new conditions. Rooftop space is amazing. Enjoyed sunset and sunrises from view. Convenient to dining and within easy walking distance to beach. Also, a great selection of vinyl to check and spin during stay. Highly recommend!
