Hyatt House Carlsbad

Hotel was overbooked so our family of 4 shared a king bed and a blow up mattress. Facility is new and clean and staff tried their best to accommodate us.

If I ever come to Carlsbad again, this Hyatt House is my choice. Staff, cleanliness, property condition were all first class. The shower in our room and climate control were among the best I’ve ever seen. Complimentary breakfast was also very good although the toaster didn’t toast my bread. (One small gotcha that I forgot to tell the desk manager when I left)

It was fine. Room was clean, lobby was nice. Desk staff at check in was friendly. Breakfast was poor. We came to the breakfast fairly early and the eggs were mostly gone, just some dry overcooked scraps in the warming tray. It was not replenished until we were leaving. The other hot breakfast items were either overcooked or not warm. The person working in the breakfast was nowhere to be found. Checkout desk clerk never asked how our stay was. Disappointing considering this hotel was more expensive than others in the area.

Very clean, quiet, overall great place to stay. We’ve never stayed in a Hyatt but we will again soon!

Loved the rooms and the pricing was perfect!

Hyatt House staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and fresh upon arrival. The bed provided a comfortable night's rest, while the shower had outstanding heat and water pressure. The parking lot was well lit and felt safe. The breakfast could have been a little better as a lot of items were missing.

The hotel was nice enough, new, and clean. The walls were quiet but we could hear toilets flushing all around us... Breakfast was adequate; the first morning we came down towards the end and the cutlery was out. Not sure where else we would stay in C-bad though! Nice that it's on the end of town nearest the Caverns, but the best food is all the way on the other side. I'd book here again. Rooms were nice.
