The hotel is near the CBD, convenient to travel, there are restaurants nearby. I like that there is a kitchen for cooking.

Love staying there, staff so friendly, close to everything. Public transport close by. If im in Melbourne I always head to Lygon Lodge.

It was a great experience! The place was well-organized and clean. The location is with fantastic view, the balcony is viewing beautiful scenery. We love it a lot.

I had a reasonable stay at Carlton Lygon Lodge. The biggest positive is the location, which is very hard to beat. Right on Lygon Street (but at the, somewhat, quieter end) and just a 10-min walk to Brunswick/Fitzroy. The accommodation itself is okay, but could definitely be better. The room smelt quite a lot, for one. The decor is also pretty dated. And it was noisy late into weekend nights due to passing traffic (so I needed to wear my noise-cancelling headphones to get to sleep). The price is quite reasonable though and the staff are friendly and helpful, so this place could be a good option if you want a great location, plan to be out most of the time, and want to save on costs.

An inexpensive hotel in a great location. Walked to a show in the city and easy walk there and back. Free parking in a safe area, locked securely was appreciated. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Thought it would be noisy but wasn't. Would stay again.

Wonderful hotel

It's really terrible. The service attitude is average, the price is expensive and the room is totally not in line with the price. This price is the same as other big hotels (W Hotel and Grand Hyatt), it's really not clear, it's like a motel. And the exhaust in the bathroom is broken, half of it is about to fall off. Asked the hotel manager to fix it, they didn't do anything.

I stayed at Lygon for a total of 8 days during this trip to Australia. From the front desk to the managers, the hotel was mainly Chinese. The service was warm and thoughtful, and the Chinese communication was barrier-free. It felt like "meeting an old friend in a foreign country"! The hotel is located in the center of Lygon Street, just a few minutes' walk from the University of Melbourne and the city. There is a small park opposite and there are many cafes and Italian restaurants nearby. Food, accommodation and transportation are very nice!

The hotel was clean and had good access to the city. The price was reasonable.

I was very satisfied with the cleanliness and cleaning of the kitchen. It's a bit of a walk, but the location is very good as you can easily walk to Surfers Paradise Beach and there is a supermarket nearby. The area was prone to insects, and even though it said there was Wi-Fi, I couldn't connect to it, and I was with my young daughter, so I didn't like that very much. The staff were very kind and I was satisfied.

It would have been great to have a hair dryer. However, I am satisfied because I had a very good stay! !

The location is average, the service attitude is normal, the room hygiene is very bad, the last guest probably didn't clean it carefully after leaving, I don't know if the quilt covers are changed after every guest, at least the bathroom is dirty, there is **** on the toilet seat, which is unheard of, let's go Extremely disappointed.
