Very comfortable bed, great location and wonderful breakfast! We will be back to try the pool and hot tub. Serene and quiet, we enjoyed that we were close to Carmel but out of the tourist traffic. Hosts were friendly and helpful. The gift shop has some unique, handmade items. Recommend!

A delightful place to stay. I was so glad we stayed in Carmel Valley instead of along the coast. I chose the Carmel Valley Lodge because it was so close to a wedding venue. Nature! Peace! You will be among the local residents who were so kind and friendly . We slept so well, and the pillow was the BEST pillow I have ever slept on! An older, rather rustic lodge (minimal space in our room) that is beautifully decorated and staffed with warm and hospitable hosts. Complimentary continental breakfasts (healthy and tasty) and weekend hot meals (homemade) were delish! The staff was sincerely interested in making our stay as comfortable as possible. We will return! There are small shops within walking distance with art galleries, the Quail and Oil (olive oil) shop, a glass blowing which gave an interesting demonstration, a wonderful bookstore, and lots of places to eat and enjoy wine!

It was amazing!!! I loved the quaint feel of the property. The hot tub was great. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet! The staff is friendly, helpful and kind, from the check in to check out. We definitely want to go back. Thank you staff at Carmel Valley lodge.

Can’t say enough good things! Comfortable beds, friendly staff, spectacular gardens & the best continental breakfast I’ve ever had. Great location, 10 minute walk to restaurants, tasting rooms & art galleries. I already can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!

Escape Carmel fog and stay here, you will NOT regret it. Beautiful grounds, exceptional pool plus personal touches in your clean room. Local farmer Joe brings produce for your breakfast! Staff are friendly and personable. All this and of course, easy walking distance to the restaurants, wineries in the Village - can't beat it, see you there!

Love this spot! Simple, great location, warm accommodating staff and wonderful breakfast! Our kids had a blast in the pool and the hot tub. The beds are very comfortable and great sheets. The grounds are stunning, so many flowers in bloom. The location is walking distance to DT Carmel Valley. It's just a gem in my option. Simple but perfect for families!

We have been going to the Carmel Valley Lodge since 1995, enjoying this tranquil piece of heaven now through 4 dogs and I believe several of the Lodge owners. We may be the longest-tenured visitors. I especially love the gardens and the quiet there, and in the village too, which is far less pretentious and busy than Carmel. The owners are always upgrading to keep the older property up to date. They serve a very nice breakfast which you can enjoy in a dining room, outside in the garden or in your room. The staff are all very kind and friendly. Parking is close to your room. The pool is large, always clean, with lots of chairs and lounges.
