Money stolen out of my room on twice. The second time was 100% verified. Hand counted the money before the cleaners entered the villa and hand counted after they left. 180.00 stolen. Remember to use the locking safe and video tape the belongings you are locking in the safe.

We stayed in casita no.1 and we are located next to the street and the front door to the hotel. The noise is the issue coming from with 4wheeler ATV and pick-up trucks constantly zig zagging and making a carnage of noise on the street adjacent to our bedroom from what a what peaceful setting this could have been! The other HUGE issue is the front door of the hotel LOUD SLAMMING from morning to late evening. We couldn’t use the hamac for relaxation as there’s no escaping the loudness banging as we are 10feet from door and road. The DOGS ´BARKING & HOWLING will drive you insane troughout the nite and early morning The DUST from the road makes it’s way into our casita no.1 This was an ordeal …. We asked to be moved but we’re told that they were full but I noticed new arrivals constantly. Otherwise…. In the other casitas , I’m sure it is better…. Loved the staff… the pool and proximity of everything around. Pura Vida ! Maybe not at casita no.1

This hotel is on a street where at this moment there is construction and the noise from heavy trucks is all day long. We woke up to noise, not birds and monkeys. Do not ever stay in casita 1. They are now doing repairs to the wall outside the bedroom. I asked them to stop please. Will see how long that lasts for. Staff are pleasant. It would be helpful if there was more road signage on the way from Liberia by car. Google maps got us lost twice.

My wife and i took a trip for our anniversary/her birthday and after a poor experience in Montezuma beach (not the town itself, but the property we stayed on airbnb called lokitas), the trip took a positive step when we made it here. Great check-in, fantastic staff, and a roomy villa with everything you need. Enjoyed the ambiance and the proximity to town and the beach. Will be back!

Why 1 star? Three reasons: - cold staff with attitude who are not one bit interested in interacting with guests or actually providing any customer service. - room was just about to be clean when we arrived. After one night the room was even less cleaned. I don't know what the cleaning staff does, maybe they have the same attitude as the reception staff ( = "please don't make me work") - unreasonable price (220 USD) for mediocre not well looked after facilities, no breakfast (you can get one though: breakfast with a juice, coffee and a main dish would set you back between 10-15 USD - seriously?! You don't even pay that in all the hipster places in Santa Teresa) and bad service. Thus feeling of getting ripped off. - one positive: the place is lovely at night and the music from the yoga lesson gives a nice feeling when you chill out in your hammock. Hopefully this place gets friendlier, happier and more motivated staff with less attitude.
