My stay at Ithia was very enjoyable. First time in Spain. The hotel is about 25 mins away from El Dorado Airport and check in was very smooth. My spanish is very basic but the staff was very patient and answered all of my questions. It is conveniently located right next to Museo National and within walking 15-20 mins walking

Lovely dorm rooms! Great private bunks which almost feels like tiny rooms as they have walls and a curtain! Clean bathrooms and nice breakfast

Tooooo noisy from the bar until 3am.
Too wet in the room and the air is not comfortable

Location wise you cannot beat this hostel, so convenient! You have the city wall facing the ocean, Getsémani and all other landmarks well within 10 minutes walking.  Also the private room, so nice! Roomy, airconditioned, great bathroom. Also a balcony overlooking the busy streets, all great!  And then there is the rooftop. Very nicely done, really cool place to hang out and cool off your hot day. Didn't try the pool but it looked nice too.  But then...   Casa Movida being a hostel, we were looking for a common area to meet other travelers as well. That is non-existent here. The place doesn't invite you to chill and connect with others. The rooftop gets close to such a place, but was often empty.  Maybe more importantly: The staff. Nobody seems to have fun in what they're doing there. Find another job if you don't like working in a hostel. They prefer to text/play games on their phone rather then helping paying guests.  Knowing the rooftop bar is cool. Unfortunately you cannot pay for your drink(s) there. Meaning even as a guest sleeping on the top floor, you need to take all the steps down to pay for a beer before going to bed. You can't put a tab on your room. Which is very inconvenient.

The hostel is clean and the bed spaces large and comfortable with good privacy, they are self contained pods.  What made my visit and made me write a review was the staff. I stupidly left my kindle there and the staff returned it to me when I got back to Cartagena. Fully charged. Thankyou again.
