Very friendly welcoming, nice room with small window. The bed was extremely fluffy, slept well. The manager and the receptionist were so nice and helpful, even more when I got sick. The kitchen cooked me rice and one employee took me to a doctor. If I come back I would probably take the slightly more expensive deluxe room cause it offers access to the sauna (price not included but fair) and is bigger. But the standard room was also spacious enough for one person. Close to the city center but quiet, no loud music disturbing the sleep, very close to the viewpoint at the old Fort, 5 minutes walk.

We went to Cat Ba in September, the weather was quite nice and favorable for booking a tour package to visit Lan Ha Bay. The room at Violet hotel is very suitable for tourists with spacious 2 hours, breakfast is ours. When asked about the HP crab and fruit rice cake, I found the price to be reasonable and the quality was great.

The hotel room was nice and cosy. The beds were good and the aircon worked well. our room was on a high floor and we heard little noise. The street is relatively quite after 9pm. The hotel is relatively new compared to most in Cat Ba and located up the hill so note this if you're planning to walk. Breakfast was fine although we all got food poisoning from eating at the Napoli Pizza restaurant a few doors down and missed out on our boat cruise. The hotel staff were very helpful. Good value for money.

By far one of the best stays in my month long travel here in Vietnam between multiple cities and regions. This hotel is brand new and everything reflects it. The bathrooms and rooms are luxurious. Beds are super comfy. Breakfast was delicious every morning. More importantly the staff was amazing. They handheld us through checkin throughout our stay until we left. We were taken care of so well. As part of the hotel, they had a tour booking office which helped us book all our activities and car service with discounts. We woke up late and had to be ready to leave for our day cruise and they even called to the dining room to pack us our breakfast to take with us. That is 5 star service! We were given fabulous advice on where to go during our stay as well. Location was right on the Main Street so within walking distance to all stores and restaurants and short walk to the beach. Definitely a 5 star stay.
