The hotel was a complete disgrace, the pin code they gave us was wrong, and my night mate and I couldn't enter the hotel had to search for a different hotel for 1 hour. I definitely don't recommend it. They took the money of the hotel I didn't stay with from me. A total fiasco

Wifi is only available around the reception.
Location is good.
I won’t recommend the hotel due to the one rude staff who blamed me for putting a key on the wrong door(there were two doors before the reception).
At that time I was super tired after walking all day but he ordered me to wait until he finished talking on the phone with angry face. He called me off that I almost damaged the door by clicking the key too much and the other customers could haven’t use it then I have to pay for the damage. He even mentioned the price for it.
Then I had to show him that I can use the keys in the right place and turn them properly.
The worst customer service I’ve ever had and my trip was damaged..

Etnea 316 was definetely the best thing on my over-night trip from Malta to Catania which was still recovering from the feast of the big A. Nice staff, Marco was obviously a bit mad, but nice to look at at least. Everything you might want from a budget hotel and more: clean, quiet, relaxed, central, on a safe and busy street/sq, close to ab everything Catania has to offer. I recommend.

A total disaster!!! They will make you pay 50 euro, a total rip off, if you arrive after 10pm. You pay this fee just to get a code for the hotel door,allowing you to enter. The receptionist was EXTREMELY rude when I asked about the charge. He arrogantly told me that they cancel the booking,if you do not turn up till 10pm eventhough we had already paid for the night accomodation. The hotel was disgusting,a total disaster- run down, old furniture, a very small shower and an extremely poor brrakfast with only 2 very poor sweet options, yougurt and crackers. We ended up having to it elsewhere. A complete nightmare. I wish I had read the reviews before. Please take my word, do not ruin your holiday as otherwise you will regret it big time. Just STAY AWAY!!!!!

Avoid. Good location but extremely noisy outside and inside. Smoking allowed, so smoke common areas. Cash up front, we booked for four nights but it was so bad we left after one. No air con and full of mosquitoes. Very tatty common areas and bedroom with no facilities.

The worst experience i’ve have ever had! Rough administrators who don't settle you even if you have a paid reservation until you pay some fictional 40 euros for something. They're cheating, we took yogurt from our room, which we took with us after breakfast. A thing was missing from the room that they didn't return to us until we were leaving. They often make fun of you, especially Marco, and behave as if we are unwilling guests. For breakfast, only buns and cupcakes from the store, only sweets. I don't recommend it to anyone!

This was the best welcome we have ever received in any hotel, perfect small hotel with real family feel. Marco and Dominico made us feel very welcome and couldn't have done anymore to make our stay more enjoyable. Marco also offers great daytrips out, we did a couple and couldnt fault them, very knowledgeable and friendly

We stay 4 nights in the hotel. It's an historical building typical for Catania. If you search for new, modern furniture, appliances and lightning, your place is not here but IKEA. Instead , if you want warm people and enjoy the magnificent Sicily, this is your place!
