Alberi Del Paradiso

The hotel is beautiful with gorgeous views. It is impeccably maintained and peaceful. The service is unlike anything we have experienced with everyone attentive to every need. We had a suite and it was large enough for our family of 5 with very comfortable beds, everything we needed in the bathroom including toothbrushes and soap. It is a short walk or cab ride to town. It was romantic but also comfortable with children. It was also very clean with sweet smells throughout. The beach club and private beach were great and the views from the water are gorgeous.

I can’t imagine there being a better hotel to stay in other than this one! The hotel was gorgeous and the staff was amazingly friendly/helpful. Giulia was very accommodating and helped us with whatever we needed when we checked in. The room was big and we were able to have a great view of the ocean. The private beach they had was a bit small but the clear water and food hut made up for it. The restaurant they have at the hotel was amazing, definitely some of the best food we had on our 3 week trip. The restaurant staff were all superstars and made our experience even better. We will definitely be coming back here to stay on our next trip to Cefalù!

Fantastic hotel. Clean and wonderful decor. The staff at reception great. The restaurant team and matre de were attentive friendly very organised. I was unwell one day and was provided with a breakfast platter as I had paid for breakfast but unable to get to dining room Lovely swimming pool. Area to eat breakfast on an open balcony style in fresh air Mini bus to go to town friendly housekeeping asking if I felt better. Best hotel I have stayed in for a long time. Only negative is that the owner has put in a drive in very posh colour but won’t let coaches on it so we had to walk up a steep hill. Not good not thinking about his visitors at all crazy

Firstly, many thanks to all the staff, who apart from speaking perfect English, worked so hard to provide us with wonderful service throughout our stay. We'd like to give a special mention to Antonia, Chiara and Matteo on reception for some invaluable information and advice. Also, Vicenzo, our waiter who always managed to make us feel extra special during our dining experience. Secondly, the Alberi Paradiso is a delightfully welcoming hotel, set in lovely grounds with beautiful gardens and terraces. We hope to return to Cefalu one day and would only stay at the Alberi Paradiso!

TLDR; I would probably book somewhere different, but all the Cefalu hotels seem to have issues one way or another (spent 4 hours reading reviews before booking this hotel). The only reason we didn't stay at Club Med was the 5 night minimum requirement didn't match our schedule. All the staff up front great. Extremely nice and capable folks. The bed though, was the worst bed we have ever slept on in our life. Like sleeping on a boulder. The first morning I woke up feeling like I'd been beaten by bricks. The next two nights weren't as bad as our bodies became used to the bed. But my god it was awful. Our room was above the bar and we heard endless sounds of chairs scraping. It really pissed off our next door neighbor and one night he screamed down from his balcony at the people to be quiet. Some how I didn't hear this, but my wife did. I booked the hotel explicitly for the shuttle to the private beach. This was in May. Temperatures 70+ F. We get to the hotel and the beach is closed, no shuttle, not in season. So be aware of this, the fact that their are weird beach seasons. However it ended up not mattering to us because Cefalu got a years worth of rain in the next 48 hours (2.67 inches). The hotel is in a nice location. You get the taxi company # from the front desk and its 12 euros one way to the entrance to the old town. Taxi drivers are friendly and good. Call them again when you want a pick up. There is a path down the hill you can walk to town, its easy to do. Not as easy going back, especially in pouring rain. Its a nice property, but it is showing its age. Paint scuffs everywhere. It's in need of a renovation. It must have been a very nice hotel 20-30 years ago. The breakfast was really good, huge selection, make your own juices, but a few of the staff need more tact. Forgetting coffee, not checking on us because we were in a blind spot out of their vision. The main waiter disappeared for 7 minutes and I had to ask another guy for help and he looked at me dumbfounded that I was even speaking to him. "Ask so and so". "I would ask so and so, but he isn't around". I did eventually hear a riff later on between them about this.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Alberi del Paradiso. The hotel itself looks very grand when you first come in to the lobby and the staff was very friendly. The property is really nice, and has some lovely common spaces like a big outdoor balcony with chairs and tables, and a lounge type room inside as well. Loved the pool area and the breakfast was great! There was also the added perk of the free beach loungers. I stayed in a deluxe room with a balcony. The bed was a little hard, but not too hard for a good night's sleep. One thing to note is that the bathroom isn't entirely separate from the room. The door swings either way to close the shower or the bathroom, and the shower is separated from the room by a clear wall, so there isn't a lot of privacy. There is not a ton of storage space in the room. Only noting those details - overall, I was very comfortable. The hotel is a bit outside of town, but I had a car so I drove in and out. The pro of that was that it was a peaceful and quiet area, and it felt like coming back to a tranquil spot after a busy day. Though I'm not sure that it's particularly walkable, especially coming back from town, as it's mostly uphill and you'd be sharing some narrow roads with cars. I did really appreciate the parking lot though - which were few and far between in Sicily!
