This is the first time I am here. I like the location. And it worked for my family to be in the 3 bedroom apartment. However, check-in was chaotic and painfully slow, despite three staff attending to the guests. The staff were overwhelmed with menial task - going in and out of the back room to get paper etc. Guests were left to figure out for themselves if there was a queue for us to check in.
I have one thing that really made me unhappy. The TVs are NOT smart TVs. So unless you enjoy watching a blurred screen (like the ones that had to use an antenna) and local channels - this would upset you too. Especially when you have children and we want to have movie night in the apartment as a family. Given how smart TVs are not exactly expensive, this property should seriously consider doing something about this. It’s not exactly a cheap stay - and one would expect these basic needs to be met. When we did call the hotel, the staff says it was spare part they were waiting for the TV to be clearer. 😏
The rooms and feel of the hotel is generally dated. Needs a serious uplift before I would even consider to book to stay here again.

Room was spacious. Here meant it very, very very spacious (imagine you stay in service apartment kind) where insdie the room there is kitchen with all the utilities.
Location is good with just 1 minute cross road to Grand Indonesia and Tamrin and 5 minute walk to the attraction of the metropolitan city.

Our family enjoyed a comfortable 2-nights stay in a spacious Premier Two-Bedroom apartment at Ascott Jakarta during our recent trip. The fully equipped kitchen and ample living space were spacious for our needs. We brought with us a wheelchair, total of 10 luggages and bags so we need ample space to open and arranging our stuffs. Ascott Jakarta’s location is PERFECT! just behind Grand Indonesia Mall and adjacent to Thamrin City Mall, and close to Plaza Indonesia. Excellent access for us who like shopping & dining at the mall. Amenities like the outdoor pool and free Wi-Fi, and even hotel spa added to our convenience. Overall, Ascott Jakarta provided a pleasant and convenient base for our family trip.

The hotel’s location is unbeatable, just across the street to Grand Indonesia’s West Mall entrance, you can enter via the Ground Floor carpark. Thamrin City is also just a 3 minutes walk via the back entrance. Both malls have a variety of food options. Security is also tight which made us feel safe. Staff were friendly, helpful and hospitable. Breakfast was all right, could have more variety. Otherwise, it was quite ok. Would stay here again if we were to come back to Jakarta.
