Its a beautiful hotel. The service and the breakfast is great, and I must mention that the coffee is strong and delicious.

Bien ubicado, cerca a la plaza principal, una pequeña subida para ir a la plaza, para que vayas practicando para el Gocta. Muy buenas atención en la recepción, muy amables las recepcionista . Comodidad en su habitación, son bastante amplias. Se descansa excelente después de los tours que algunos son exigentes con tu estado físico. Desayuno bufet adecuado. Bonito jardín interior, bonita vista para tomar el desayuno. Hotel ubicado cerca a cafés y restaurantes recomendados. Al frente un market.

Das Hotel wurde als das beste am Ort beschrieben. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht. Das Erdgeschoss hat ein koloniales Flair, leider ohne Restaurant. Eigentlich ein Hotel ohne Seele. Das Hotel liegt zwar nur wenige Hundert Meter von der Plaza de Armas entfernt, aber in einem für uns ziemlich heruntergekommenem Stadtteil. Trotzdem mussten wir abends aus dem Hotel. Allein hätte ich mich nicht hinausgetraut. Unser Zimmer war zwar groβ, aber karg, spartanisch, mit verschmutztem Teppichboden. Die Fenster waren nicht geputzt. Der Blick aus unserem Fenster in den Innenhof war äuβerst ernüchternd. Hygiene wurde nicht groβgeschrieben. Das Bad war nicht nur sehr klein, sondern geradezu schäbig. Der Spülkasten des WC brauchte 20-30 Minuten, um sich zu füllen. Wir mussten also immer warten, um das WC benutzen zu können. Schlimm war es am letzten Abend, als die Tür des Badezimmers sich nicht mehr öffnen lieβ. Einem Techniker gelang es schluβendlich, uns den Zugang zu ermöglichen.

Very nice hotel with friendly personnel, large rooms, roomy bathroom, all in a colonial atmosphere and in the morning we were greeted by a well-equipped breakfast. All near the heart of the city. We only stayed one night but can highly recommend this hotel.

Gezellig en kraaknet hotel in een karaktervolle coloniale setting. Dit is het soort verblijf waar je voor dit type reizen van gedroomd hebt. Ontbijt in het atrium, dus buiten: voorzie een donsjasje in de winter! Het personeel is supervriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ideaal gelegen op wandelafstand van kathedraal en alle restaurants. Het stadje is authentiek landelijk. Onder de inwoners dan ook veel kippen en hanen. Geen angst om je te overslapen...

Safe, clean, nice, close to downtown, good breakfast, big rooms, great architecture (based on ancient spanish houses) Collaborators are always ready to help and happy to answer any question regarding tourism, history, where to eat, where to go. Good choice if going with family.

Excellent place to stay. Beautiful hotel. Located close to the main square. Nice decoration. Good service from the staff. I highly recommend staying in this hotel when you visit the nice, clean and quite city of Chachapoyas.

La Xalca Hotel is in a good location, close to the town centre. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. We also appreciated that there was a hot breakfast available. We would definitely stay here again.
