A most enjoyable and relaxing time on a special weekend away. The setting is stunning in the Dartmoor National Park. The levels of service, from reception, dining to housekeeping was exceptional, We were looked after so well - nothing was too much bother. They get it all just right. We look forward to returning.

Gidleigh Park is hidden away gem at the end of a small road near Chagford. Classical style, tranquility (although a bit of background music during dinner would be ok), personal service, formal, adequate.

The most wonderful setting, expensive but definitely worth it. Food was fantastic, may be only £10 more than an average town-centre bistro lunch

This is simply a wonderful country house hotel. Its location, just below Dartmoor and with the River Teign meandering through the grounds, is beautiful, and the levels of comfort and hospitality are impeccable. The restaurant has been famous for many years, and both dinner and breakfast services are excellent, entirely worthy of their Michelin star. I would particularly commend the staff, who are extremely professional, and combine the polish you expect at a Relais & Chateaux member with being extremely warm and welcoming.

Had a great few days at Gidleigh Park recently, service at the hotel was amazing, the place is beautiful and lots of walks to go on around the area. Will be back soon, thankyou Gidleigh Park :-)

Always a pleasure to stay at Gidleigh, the most comfortable of retreats. Walking the grounds, the parish, the Moor... and always good things to come back to..... coffee, lunch, cakes, fine dining..... All wonderful.

We booked the Gourmet Getaway; 2 days of amazing food, rest and relaxation. The meals were fabulously presented by the team, with each course explained to enable us to better appreciate the mix of flavours. Art on a plate. Relaxing hotel lounge and beautiful room overlooking the gardens, perfect for watching the sunrise without getting out of bed!

We have just spent another relaxing night at Gidleigh. The level of service that you receive at Gidleigh from the reception staff, housekeeping to the restaurant is above and beyond anywhere else we have stayed at. We were lucky enough to receive a complimentary upgrade and stayed in Cranbrook, a beautiful suite with a bathroom to die for! Thank you for such a lovely stay, we will hopefully be back in the New Year!
