Hotel Mountview

Located in heart of chandigarh the property allows access to all the major attractions and to the administrative buildings of punjab and haryana. Though the hotel is very old, but is well maintained. The staff is courteous. Rooms are spacious and neat and clean. Washrooms are clean. Value for money.

Asked to arrange the cab for airport at reception but they not only refused but also arrogant. Bathroom towel were not good quality ***** with hand towel

The amenities were third class. Room was pathetic.

Very bad experience when in morning I want to use the gym for 15 mins and the Girl at gym counter tell me enter my name and wait and after waiting for more that 20-25 mins I came back without using the gym and she didn’t even bother and the behaviour is very rude . Worst experience ever she spoiled my day 😕

Swimming pool was not functional. It was not informed in advance. Staff was good. Service was good but they were unable to resolve my issue by refund and cancellation of booking

I have stayed in this hotel from 16th april to 17th ***** with my family. They allotted me a room and the room were stinking, soon i started breathing issues and congestion and i ran to central hall near reception for fresh air. We were four people and had two rooms. On request they offered another room which was having massive leakage. Again they offered us another room. This rooms seems to be ok, by this sifting and room selection we had lost nearly two hours. Soon we left for city travel anticipating the ac will remove stinking and bad smell. Upon reaching to room nearly 10 pm one room was again stinking. By the time we were tired up and upon bringing to their notice they said that we will offer another room. We requested for two mattresses and slept in one room. This i reported to customer care team and all this conversation might have been on record. I feel sorry to state that even no one called us to enquirer how our stay was there. My son now have coughing issue with all these fungal laden wall n room furniture. I even saw crawling insects in wash room and fungal infested curtains. It was horrible stay and would request to travellers to really check this hotel before checking in. We could not sleep in night as by all this process it was 12 o clock and we had to leave early in the morning. The staff is lazy, no one respond and even for room sanitation and freeness we had to wait for 30 min and finally we have up. The breakfast is so so and common items are on display. Now i under stand why there was so much message for adv payment. Though it was done in advance to three days. There is a big question why my one room charge should not be refunded. Now i pledge i will and all my frieda will avoid this hotel in future. Staff is lazy, passing the time and covering all their issue. No one cares there. Go on your mercy. When we started checking out they started telling sorry. It’s purely negligence from management or sr people in administration.

Decent staying option for short visit. Nicely placed and good proximity to sector 17. Rooms can be a bit better.

Rooms are not luxurious and washrooms are very dirty, smelly continuously. Food is so so. But staff is too good cooperate

The property lacks any soul and is just resting on its laurel of yesteryear’s. Except for custom made porridge the food was pathetic. Had the worst pizza which made all in my family sick. Breakfast had muffin which was rock hard possibly made a week back. Breakfast spread had limited choice and tasted low in quality. The rooms are vintage and need a revamp. The only good part is the staff who work hard to keep the property running and ready to help to overcome shortcomings. The fitness center is one of the highlights of the property. Well maintained and managed superbly.
