The booking process was the most pleasant. Arrived at the hotel to a rude reception - it was late, I just wanted the key with quickness, which did happen. Get to the room and on the surface, looked ok. Very musty odor, I think it was a smoking room which is okay - we smoke. Sit down on the bed to find a blood stain. ***** the bed, take it to the reception - girl at the desk literally holds her hands out to the side....like.....GROSS!...and tells us housekeeping is gone for the evening and she has no access to clean sheets - offered no real remedy. So off to Walmart we go to buy sheets. Get back, clean/new sheets in place. We sit back down. I look over and there is a ”bug” crawling across the headboard. I was done. Go back to reception, different girl, very sweet, tells us she will be happy to give us another room in a diff area of the hotel, since we didnt actually ”stay” in the 1st room, no extra charge - okay that's fine. 2nd room was better, still put OUR sheets on the bed. We orig booked 2 nights but the next morning we checked out and told Miss Rude at the desk that we were leaving and would not be staying another night. NOW my $40 a night room has become a $129.00 charge to my credit card. I called today and was told that because the booking was for 2 nights it was MY fault that we did not fulfil OUR obligation! She then tells me...”wait, you were here for 2 nights” I explained that I was in a different city all together the next night and stayed at a diff hotel and can prove it! Then Im told I would have to call back on Monday and speak to a Manager or I could call Choice ”but she would tell them the same thing she told me” and hung up on me. Also, apparently the hotel bar is the place to be on a Friday night and if you like the smell of ****--run on down there! If I could give a -5 review, I would!
