Amazing stay at Hampton Chaozhou hotel . The front desk girls are the best hostess ever, special to Ms Coan, for the attention and help with translation. Major complaint was cleaning staff entering my room after I left the hotel despite my Do Not Disturb light was on. I was sure it was on because it is my usual practise, and I double-checked it that morning when I left the hotel. And the room service (which I did not expect) was chaotic. Used towels and bath rope were taken without replacement, and unused towels were somehow rearranged. Filled up some disposable utensils but were not tidily placed e.g. the slippers looked like being casually tossed around on the floor. Instantly realized someone had entered my room when I arrived at my room door that evening as I could see the DND light was turned off. Hotel explained that the cleaning staff was unaware of the DND light. How ridiculous! It was deliberately turned off. Worse, how the hotel tried to keep the hassle low key by offering me free bfast or something was disappointing. I don't think the hotel had geniuely tried to understand how I see it as an intrusion, and how unacceptable that was to me. I did not feel safe when I found out someone entered my room against my will. Probably won't visit Chaozhou again and prefer not to stay with Crowne again.
