This hotel is hard to find, the location is quite unique. The service staff are rather cold. But the room is very hygienic and clean.

很一般，僅僅為了歇腳。衞生間裏沒有香皂，瓶裝的洗手液也是空的，擠嘴上居然還有一根毛髮！空調聲音響徹不停，很吵！床單上還有黑色的灰塵顆粒！忘了拍照片，衞生條件真的堪憂

We were having a hard time finding hotels in Eastern Kentucky/Southern West Virginia. It seems that area is a black hole for hotels and the 2 we passed were packed on a Wednesday night at 8pm.  So we had to drive to Charleston 3 hours away to find a room.  The Holiday Inn Express Civic Center was still open after midnight and we were welcomed by a friendly desk person.  The parking lot looked a bit sketchy, like it was last paved 10 years ago. But that was our only negative.  The public spaces were spotless and up to date.  Elevators were fast, quiet, and there was no waiting.  Our key worked fine.  The room was clean, smelled great, and the AC was quiet and worked well.  The bed was very comfortable with large fluffy pillows.  The TV was a 60” flat screen and cable was fine.    The bathroom was large, plenty hot water. Well lit. Large mirror. Only 2 towels, but that was OK.  The room was larger than usual.  Refrigerator and Microwave.  A large desk area where I am currently writing this review.  The internet is great.  Breakfast was great.  We liked the coffee and they had an Equal-like sweetener.  We had cheese omelettes, sausage links, bagels, and a Cinnamon Roll.  All very good.  They also had a pancake machine and cereal/juice/fruit.   So no bad marks here.  All the news is good at the Holiday Inn Express Civic Center

We recently stayed here for one night. The staff is amazing! When we checked in, the gal at the front desk was so friendly, helpful and welcoming. As we walked to our room, two other hotel employees stopped to say hi and talk to us. Listen, this is not the most posh hotel in the world, but the rooms are clean and quiet, plus the staff makes you feel like a million bucks, which is priceless. Oh and the breakfast is great too. We'll definitely stay here again.

Front desk (Darrell) was VERY helpful when I needed help printing in the business center AND when I realized I'd left an item in my room after checkout! My room was clean and comfortable.
