I had a very expensive item taken from the room in this hotel! We are Platinum Elite Marriott members, and have stayed in over 100 Marriott's, and have NEVER experienced anything like this hotel. When we arrived our safe was being re-keyed and we had no way to lock up our valuables. Mistakenly, we called about this which put a target on our room. When we went to dinner the item went missing and after a week, the manager (who took four days to get back to us and only did so once I filed a formal complaint) told us every time we spoke "They were looking for it" (it is gone, buddy)! I filed a police report and they feel it was stolen and agree we were targeted and shared they had complaints around this hotel before. What I have learned is that the A loft takes no responsibility for their staff and you would think a large company like the Marriott would stand behind their reputation and do something. I have asked them to pull camera footage (they say they do not have any in the hallway) and this is negligence since the safes were unavailable and the item went missing from my suitcase. If your item goes missing it is your fault no matter if it is stolen or lost and the hotel can do as they please which is UNNACCEPTABLE! Marriott do the right thing and stand by your customers!
