Originally, I had planned to visit Leshan. After a last-minute decision to cancel that trip, I opted to stay in Chengdu for an additional two days, arranging various meals with different friends. Considering transportation and other needs, I chose to book two nights at the Hilton Riverside. (While the JW Marriott and Waldorf Astoria might be better, I was concerned about traffic during the National Day holiday).
**Pros:**
1. The room's size, amenities, and window view were largely worth the price.
2. The surrounding area is very convenient. There's a small commercial area downstairs, and Dongjiao Memory is just across the street, making dining and strolling around very easy. Plus, it's not too far from Chengdu East Railway Station or the Panda Base. If I had to choose again, I definitely wouldn't stay near Wuhou Shrine.
3. We were given a room on the 40th floor, offering excellent privacy and quietness. The hotel also granted us a late check-out due to a last-minute change in our departure day plans.
4. Before check-in, a hotel staff member proactively called to thoroughly inquire about our needs. The staff member had a pleasant voice and spoke very standard Mandarin.
5. They offered a complimentary luggage delivery service to the airport. Although we didn't use it, it seems like a very convenient service for tourists.
**Areas for Improvement:**
1. The breakfast was a bit mediocre, even worse than the food at the Shuangliu Airport VIP lounge. For two consecutive days, we just had a quick bite there and then went out to find food elsewhere.
2. It's 2025, and not including a mini-bar feels a bit outdated.
**Overall Rating:** Considering the price point, it's not fair to evaluate it by the same standards as the Waldorf Astoria or Conrad. I'd give it a 9 out of 10. It seems like a very good option for business travel.

I booked this hotel for a company event, primarily because I was traveling with my child and Ctrip advertised a kids' club. However, it turned out the kids' club was closed due to rain the previous day. Being a newly opened hotel, there was also a noticeable new-room smell, which improved somewhat after the hotel provided an air purifier. Ultimately, I still felt it wasn't suitable for guests with children. I had initially considered leaving a negative review, but the manager addressed my concerns quite promptly and appropriately, so my rating reflects the situation post-resolution.
**Dining:** The buffet breakfast was very rich and plentiful. Entry to the restaurant required registration.
**Service:** On check-in day, there was a large training event, leading to slow service response. The in-room phone didn't even provide instructions on how to dial the front desk; it took me quite some time to figure it out based on experience. Fortunately, after contacting the manager, the issues were handled promptly and appropriately.
**Child Facilities:** It's very close to Xinglong Lake, and the scenery is quite nice. However, there was no kids' club and no child-related activities.
**Environment:** Being a new hotel, the facilities are brand new, clean, and tidy. Still, there was a lingering smell in the room.
**Overall:** In conclusion, I still don't think it's suitable for families with children. However, for business travelers, I couldn't find any significant faults.
