We changed rooms three times on arrival- from one shabby room to another. The hotel needs a really good refurbishment - mould on the bathroom walls etc. I have no idea how they can claim 5 stars . It's barely worth 3 stars. Staff are grumpy and sullen . Simple requests - could we see the menu as we take drinks on the patio are met with a NON! You can see the menu at your table. The bistro is just the bar area. food very mediocre . Seriously overpriced and poor quality.

Jamais vu ça ! 2 fois j'ai essayé de réserver en ligne sur leur site, 2 fois ça me met "une erreur technique étant survenue nous vous invitons à nous contacter pour finilaser la réservation " . J'appelle l'hôtel directement pour donc finaliser notre réservation et on me dit que ce n'est pas possible car légalement on peut pas prendre un paiement par carte au téléphone, OK ! Donc tous les autres sont dans l'illégalité ! Aucun effort de fait de la part de ce monsieur, j'ose espérer que ce n'est pas le directeur car ne pas prendre une réservation par téléphone ce n'est pas professionnel ! C'est une honte.... Dommage on se faisait un plaisir de venir dans cet établissement et bien on aura pas l'occasion de le découvrir. Il y en a sûrement d'autres dans le secteur qui seront plus aimable et surtout professionnel.

Hôtel idéalement situé près du château. Parking gratuit. Chambre située dans une ancienne école dans la cour. Escalier en colimaçon dangereux . Attention aux personnes à mobilité réduite. Chambre de charme avec un rideau où le jour passe. Nous avons par conséquent été réveillés aux aurores et ce n’était pas le but, Ne vaut pas un 5 étoiles, Très bon petit-déjeuner avec des produits de qualité

This is a wonderful hotel, with a small, intimate, countryside feel, and staffed by friendly, passionate people. Our welcome by Isabel was wonderful, and she'd personally taken care of my request to reserve a car parking spot within the gates of the hotel (since we had a carload of stuff). Room 410 was beautiful, and decorated with well-chosen, interesting furnishings. It was well-laid out, with plenty of storage space and a nice comfortable bed. There was a problem in the shower in that the controls could not turn down the temperature when the shower was operating. I meant to report this as we left, but forgot. Dinner was superb, as was breakfast the following morning. These days so many hotels lack the sort of old school charm that envelops you in this establishment, and we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. Sadly we were only passing through on this occasion, but the hotel is on the list for a return visit.

Je recommande vivement cet hôtel à la belle architecture, idéalement situé. Nous y avons passé un excellent séjour à tous points de vue. L’accueil était chaleureux et les responsables (ou propriétaires) étaient très accessibles et aimables. Les employés de l’hôtel étaient non seulement efficaces, mais aussi extrêmement agréables. Leur professionnalisme et leur amabilité ont grandement contribué à la qualité de notre séjour. C’est un aspect que nous avons particulièrement apprécié. La chambre était spacieuse, décorée avec goût et d’une propreté impeccable. Le petit déjeuner buffet offrait une grande variété de choix, bien que j’aurais préféré du jus d’orange fraîchement pressé plutôt qu’en bouteille. Le dîner au restaurant était divin, témoignant d’un niveau gastronomique élevé. Nous avons été tellement satisfaits que cet hôtel sera désormais notre lieu de prédilection lors de nos futurs séjours dans la région.

Belles chambres confortables et agréables. Bien insonorisées. Petit déjeuner excellent, produits de qualité, très bien cuisinés Tout était très bon, mon coup de cœur pour le flan pâtissier, c’est devenu si rare d’en manger un aussi bon !

After we visited Chenonceau castle we wondered if we would be able to eat. In France it is almost impossible to eat after 2:00 pm except for quick food!! We called the Auberge and they said that they were happy to have us. The place is beautiful, spotless and the staff courteous and professional. The food was inventive, delicious and healthy. Definitely worth a visit

L’hôtel est sympa; la chambre est originale. Le lit est confortable. Bon buffet de petit déjeuner. Par contre impossible de mettre le chauffage en marche dans les salles de bain et puis surtout douche froide le matin et pas le moindre geste… Bref déçus !
