Very old hotel, next to the church cemetery. But this is very common in the UK, it doesn't matter. But the bath towel in my room was dirty, with a few large stains on it, which made people worry about the sanitary condition of the hotel. In addition, the rooms are relatively dated. Summary: It's good to take pictures, but the hygiene is not good.

Excellent hotel. Room with terrace and river view. Ducks and geese to feed ! Clean. Staff friendly. Grounds lovely. Gym ok pool v nice. Parking fine. Bar and grill food ok. Only downside no ac in room. Good location to visit Chepstow and Roman sites.

We came as a group of golfers playing Sunday and Monday The Champ course was in good nick tee box’s need a little attention but for a resort course generally good The hotel rooms were perfectly acceptable clean and tidy with a good shower and plenty of pressure in the taps The food was excellent both the dinner and breakfast were first class The starter buffet bar ,we were spoilt for choice delicious The main was a carvery again plenty of choice both meats and veg Now the desserts were brilliant so many things to choose from The Staff were very helpful polite and couldn’t do enough to help I’m going to do breakfast now In a few words One of the best buffet style breakfast I’ve ever had The scrambled egg was amazing All the lads were very impressed and no complaints at all We will return

Stay was lovely, can’t really fault it!
Staff were really helpful and friendly, rooms clean and modern, spa and pool facilities were adequate and food was good too!
Only down side was the bed wasn’t too comfy and there are no plugs next to the bed for phone chargers etc.

A very nice hotel. Reception area was excellent, and a rabbit Warren of rooms. The room itself was very comfortable if somewhat , dated. Very clean and tidy. Breakfast was excellent, really tasty and limitless, with nice views over the golf course.

Absolutely fantastic. VIP treatment from the moment we arrived, with a complementary upgrade and birthday treats which was a lovely surprise. Beautiful grounds and rooms, lovely and quiet. The front desk staff are lovely. 100% recommend!

Lovely hotel, very impressive entrance as you drive down and through the archway that takes you back in time as if you are entering a castle. Room was more modern, spacious and clean, we were overlooking part of the golf course, and the biggest tv I think we have ever had in a hotel room. The lobby area again takes you back in time, the juice and welsh cakes were a lovely welcoming idea to help yourself to. We didnt eat in the restaurant but im sure the atmosphere wouldnt have been a disappointment, We didnt use the Spa as the jacuzzi was being repaired, would definitely go back and next time use more of the facilities
