Hotel has a great location - and it’s great if you’re visiting the race course - just a 20minute walk away! The room itself was lovely - plenty of tea/coffee, maybe worth checking that all the remotes work There was a hairdryer, iron and a small ironing board available in the room - perfect!! Only downside was the shower - and I understand it’s an old building but there hardly any water coming out when it’s on warm! Carpet to the rooms need replacing it’s threadbare - and I understand again this is a cost but it would make a huge difference to the hotel itself Breakfast in the morning was absolutely spot on! The ingredients clearly of a good quality ! We will defo be back to stay !!

visit to the Beaufort
For someone with a disability the hotel is not fully accessible. Although there is level access into reception there is a step up to the bar and then 2 steps down to the beer garden and a step up into the room on the lower ground which is accessed from the back of the hotel.
The staff, however were very helpful and brought breakfast to the room and helped take my scooter into the room as well as put it into the taxi. They also came to the room when it was time to check out.

Staff are excellent
Sorry there weren’t any evening meals on offer , we ended up in Wetherspoons which was pretty good food
Beds were very creaky as was the bathroom door.
Even though the bar was downstairs we didn’t hear a peep
Right on the high street and has its own car park
Wi-Fi was disappointing

Value for Money
Room and public areas of the hotel were a little run down, the staff were friendly and welcoming. A good nights sleep and a decent breakfast.
