Holiday Inn Express Hotels in Chester

The historic hotel has a British style. I stayed for three nights and it was worth the trip. Regardless of the hotel's location, facilities, hygiene, service, catering and surrounding environment, it is the best choice for traveling to Chester.

Great hotel 👍 Antique, it really matches the style of Chester, a city under cultural heritage protection that dates back to the ancient Roman era! The room and bathroom are quite large, spacious and comfortable. The restaurant and bar on the ground floor can provide breakfast, lunch and dinner, which is very convenient. The steaks are grilled well👍Speaking of convenience, it is right opposite the train station😄👍You don’t have to cross the road, you can get there in just one minute through the parking lot, which is great! Our stay was actually a one-day stay. We returned from Liverpool in the afternoon and transferred in Chester. Who would have thought that the subsequent train was canceled because the water washed out the train embankment! So I quickly looked for a hotel on Ctrip. It looked close, so I thought it would only be one night and then leave. Unexpectedly, I found a treasure 😂 I also like Ctrip’s service 👍 Booking a hotel temporarily was so fast 👍 Thanks to Tianliuke, we also discovered the treasure city of Chester, and the hotel has thoughtful luggage storage services, so we We had fun in Chester until three o'clock in the afternoon. We had a nice meal and a drink in a small Italian restaurant. We then returned to the hotel, picked up our luggage, and then entered the train station and headed home. The whole trip was an episode, but everything went smoothly, so I plan to come to Chester for vacation in the summer and stay at the Queen Hotel! You should take a stroll in its beautiful garden😄Oh, friends who like history should be very interested in the decoration and layout of the hotel! Recommended!

Brilliant hotel and location. Breakfast queue was the only thing which may have been an issue but we were there early so no problem. But could do with looking at how this is set up at busy times. Loved the whole visit.

I stayed at this hotel as part of a group visit and from booking it has been a disaster. I decided to extend my stay for a day earlier; little did I know how unhelpful staff would be to a point that I had to book the room separately and was advised to call them after so that they could merge my rooms. I did this and was told that they were unable to merge my rooms. In all of this all reception were incredibly rude and unhelpful. I arrived and check in was awful and apathetic to say the least. I did say that I would stay in my room and informed them in the morning (a downgrade from what I’d originally booked and still charged at premium rate with a pathetic offer of breakfast, of which a greasy spoon would be considered gourmet.) I spent Saturday out of my room, with the sign on the door stating and expecting to come back to a clean room. Four hours later, when I need to get ready for my event, I arrived to find my room in a mess. I’m glad I spoke directly to housekeeping who finally got it sorted as reception told me that as I’m a guest staying another night, they clean the room last. The man at reception informed me that they have arriving guests to cater for and I’m not a priority. I should accept this as this was the way it is. For a stay costing over £400, that is unacceptable. His patronising attitude was offensive and had me questioning whether it was due to my race as it felt discriminatory. I don’t say this lightly as I sat near reception and watched the interaction with other guests. It was significantly different and positive, yet every encounter I’ve had has been difficult, patronising and rude. Moving forward I think staff need customer service training as well as sensitivity training.

The location is excellent, there are several good restaurants and bars downstairs, and it is very convenient to walk to the main attractions. The breakfast is great, the room is clean and spacious, and the staff are warm and friendly. If I go to Chester again, I will stay here again.

A decent and new-build hotel. At a convenient location, near a Waitrose, the town centre and Chester railway station. Recommended for those who would like to stay at Chester. The only problem is some of the light bulbs is broken. And I would like to say Chester is a great town with many historical buildings.

Just got back home after our first visit to Chester,we booked two nights at The Mill Hotel staying in a club class room over the bridge.it and the weather was so good we booked a extra night .We ate in the restaurant each night and the food was lovely.Would recommend the mill any time and it was very good value for money, and extremely clean

Arrived at the hotel on Saturday afternoon, we were staying for two nights with friends for a weekend break. The hotel itself was good overall, although the tissue box had two tissues in and the sanitary box had one bag in. Neither replaced… I think a look at housekeeping department may be a good idea! Our biggest complaint was a woman that ranted on and on at us as we waited to check in. What was that about, she just wouldn’t stop talking at us. There’s no need for this service as we’re quite capable of entertaining ourselves in a queue. Maybe drop this before people turn around and walk out!!!

A warm, welcoming greeting from the receptionist. This hotel is maintained to a very high standard and spotlessly clean. It is also in a prime location. The facilities available were also very good. The only negative I have, is that a bedside lamp was broken - which is very minor, however, does need replacing. The beds were extremely comfortable, making for an excellent nights sleep. I will definitely be staying here again.
