It was being remodeled so we had to move around stuff. The pool was not open but it was indoor. Beds were great.

Good Hotel for overnigth

I wanted to give this place a higher score but there was a lot of room for improvement. Our room had been updated recently and was very nice, except the patio door was stuck shut. And although we were on the ground floor, there was no elevator for those who had to drag their luggage to the 2nd floor. This was mentioned in the description, but it looked like there should be room to install one. The breakfast was a big disappointment. All the oatmeal packets contained sugar, which I meed to avoid. The yogurt had dairy and sugar, also a no-no for me. And the yogurt toppings all had sugar or gluten. There was no non-dairy milk either. Why not offer plain oatmeal packets and plain yogurt, and let people add their chosen sweetener, cinnamon, nuts, berries and unsweetened coconut? I used my own non- dairy yogurt and sliced a banana into that. I also brought my own gluten-free bagel that got toasted on both sides as there was no bagel setting on the toaster. Finally, there were children in the breakfast room coughing and talking loudly, making for an unpleasant eating environment.

Comfortable beds and great view of the lake! Only negative is there's no elevators.

This is my family's favorite place to stay when we visit This part of indiana. Always on point. Breakfast on point. Cleanliness on point. Pool on point. Sauna on Point. Staff on point........EVERYTHING on POINT.

It worked for a place to stay. The hotel is beginning construction and it is run down. Towels are similar to sandpaper. Also I don’t know why they chose to put a coffee maker in the bathroom next to the toilet. There is no way I would use that.

They were in the process of rehabbing the entire hotel so it was messy. All the common spaces were filled with massive rolls of carpet waiting to be put in, old furniture waiting to be dumped and room amenities scattered everywhere. So, even though our room was definitely old and outdated they are in the process of fixing it. I did have a problem with the fact there was no elevator in the building. Hopefully, they will update for than just the rooms. All said and done, it was fine for the price we paid. Staff was pleasant and accomodating.

We tried to treat our kids to a little getaway and so they could swim for the weekend. The pictures online that represented the pool area, I assume are very outdated - no hot tub and it reeked of mold and mildew throughout. Obvious bacterial growth evident on all pool window sills. Black mold growth in the vents of our room AC/heat unit. Curtain in room had at least 15 different disgusting stains on it. Bathroom floor was always damp and stinky, like there is trapped water under the cheap laminite flooring. Acquired a sinus infection by the time of check out. Trashy guest sneaking in a large family through the side door. You can tell half of the people working there actually cared while the other half were just irritated waiting for their next smoke break (especially the woman annoyingly checking us in on Sat, Feb 14th, literally complaining to me that "she'll never get away from the desk" to have a smoke). Will never return, although the nice location is their only selling point.
