Akalki Hotel & Centro Holístico

We booked the last room left, which was a manglae room. When we arrived, the room was very musty and was being used as staff luggage storage. We did not stay at the hotel because the room was so musty. The hotel would not give us a refund, although the room was in no condition to be rented. The other rooms might be beautiful, but the room is horrible and should not be rented out to anybody.

Hotel is nice, rooms are comfortable and air conditioning is recommended as temperatures can get too high (lagoon villas don’t have A/C) Being right in the lagoon is the best. Reception staff are kind but need more training. Food is “okay” but don’t expect anything special. As the name stands, it is a “Holistic Center”, they offer esoteric services, even if that’s not your goal or interest it is an essential part of the experience the hotel offers.

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the incredibly friendly and accommodating staff, Elizabeth and Arath who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The grounds of the hotel are expansive and impeccably maintained. Everywhere you look, there's a sense of tranquility and natural beauty that adds to the overall calming atmosphere. Whether strolling through the lush gardens or relaxing by the water, the peaceful environment was a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. One of the highlights of my stay was the crystal-clear freshwater that surrounds the property. The water is absolutely incredible – so clear and refreshing that it felt almost surreal. I spent many hours swimming and simply soaking in the natural beauty of the area. Overall, my stay at Akalki Hotel & Centro Holístico was nothing short of magical. The combination of excellent service, beautiful surroundings, and the serene atmosphere made it a truly unforgettable vacation. I can't recommend it highly enough and look forward to returning in the future.

Everything was great. We went for my wife’s birthday and they provided birthday flowers a cute birthday cake. Very cute intimate place of stay. Everyday we went swimming in the beautiful blue waters, enjoyed the hammocks throughout the grounds, and took advantage of the free kayaks. Even though they only had one restaurant the food was delicious and service was amazing. Dana was the best, she was attentive, sweet, and accommodating. The temple visit was amazing which is only a short walk from the rooms. Overall the staff was accommodating and attentive.
