My friend and I are models and we escaped Europe and fled from the COVID 19 carnage. We have been to Chiang Mai before (modelling) and loved it, the north of Thailand was fairly untouched by COVID and due to being 40 degrees each day we had decided that it had to be the destination. We booked this hotel with a swimming pool and aircon which would help keep our skin soft. We have been here for 2 months now and the staff could not have been more helpful for us, they have protected us from crazy fans and paparazzi with their lives. Unsure on the future here most hotels closed but Mandala remained open for us and some others. So it wasnt purely because we are both models, they did it out the goodness of their hearts. The pool is also very secluded which is great because we are models and need our privacy. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to all our modelling friends. MANDALA LOVING

Members of the staff were all courteous and friendly. Breakfast was okay, no brewed coffee though, there's a selection of instant coffee flavors instead. Menu for breakfast changes daily so that's good for variety's sake. The lady, who I assume is the manager, allowed me to check out at 2pm, so nice of her. A bit of an issue with the bathroom though. The flush mechanism of the toilet constantly made sound every 10 minutes or so. Woke me up in the middle of the night a few times. They were unable to get it fixed my entire 4-night stay. The hotel is literally next door to Anusarn night market. Though the hotel is nice and clean, pics on the website are way better looking. ;)

Great hotel just called Maude the old city gate of Chiang Mai. Included breakfast was well prepared and served poolside or in the air conditioned dining area. Air conditioning in the spacious hotel room was effective and much appreciated after hot days out and about. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. I greatly appreciate a well managed hotel accommodation in my extended travels.

Location wise, this hotel is great. Walking to famous Sunday night market is about 10-15 minutes. Old city just nearby to access. Famous khao soi is just across the road- 4 mins away. Just outside the hotel, night market of food stalls - very good food! We liked that our family room (like an adjoined two rooms) was spacious, clean and comfortable. Everyday housekeeping and amenities replenished 👍👍. Only setback is Toilet showers was challenging- too hot and not able to control. And toilet internal wood etc need to refurbish. Overall for us a comfortable, inexpensive and strategic stay.

The hotel has good view . Location is not in downtown but not far . Snack is free in room. some restarturnts are neraby the hotel.

It was a good location and the room was huge. It was also nicely decorated in an old Thai style which made it a very ambient place to stay. However, it’s very dated and clearly hasn’t had any upgrades. The bathroom was horrible and while technically it has been cleaned, there was so much mould in the shower tiles and a huge section of the ceiling was mouldy as well. It was not pleasant to go there especially as it’s where you want to go to get clean.

🏢 Hotel : R2 ChiangMai Choose to stay in a cozy studio type room, decorated quite cutely. Gives a cozy feeling, looks warm and comfortable. The bed cannot be moved because it is a built-in bed. It has a cute, slightly Japanese feel. Minimal. At the end of the bed, a Smart TV (Samsung Serif TV) is set up. 1 It fits the style of the room very well. And there are also chairs and a center table where we can sit and do things. -------------------------------------------- 📍Location : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The hotel is located in the area behind Chiang Mai University. Which is considered quite good. Because it's close to both food sources. and entertainment venues, convenient travel, not too far from the city -------------------------------------------- ⚡️Facilities : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The rooms have electrical appliances such as televisions, refrigerators, and water heaters. and hair dryer For guests to use | Television as a smart TV Can connect to the internet and watch Netflix, Youtube, HBO easily. But what I feel doesn't work well is the cleaning products, shower gel and shampoo that are provided in relatively small quantities😢 There is a musty smell inside the bathroom. You should find a diffuser to eliminate the smell in this area. -------------------------------------------- 👩🏻💼Services : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The employees talk sweetly and all have smiles on their faces. The room is clean, spacious, strong wifi, hair dryer is also available. Very cheap price. Overall, impressed. The receptionist was very polite. Definitely going back to stay again.
