Villa Thapae Reviews

We stayed at the duplex villa. Thankful that an extra bed is setup for my 6 year old even though we did not request for it. Location is conveniently located 2mins walk to Thapae gate.

Staff super helpful and friendly. Great location near the Gate

we stayed only for 1 night and could not comment on the service and food quality. However we are amazed by the design and decoration of the room. The location is a Prime for participating the Chiang Mai Marathon.

The girl at the counter is kind and can speak Chinese, which is a very good experience.

The service staff is friendly, the language communication is clear and good, and the room is comfortable.

The swimming pool is so beautiful. There are not many guests and the swimming pool feels like a private place. It is very close to Thapae Gate.

Very nice hotel, small and quiet. The location is also quite good, across the road is Tha Pae Gate, and it is not far to walk to the surrounding area. Although there are not many choices for breakfast, the taste is quite good. Check out on the last day, the owner also drove to the airport. Very cost-effective

Always happy, very friendly, helpful staff, good internet connection for work and travel,  Since there are only a few rooms, you sometimes have the pool area all to yourself…

We do snugly, but there is pool and is clean and is comfortable. It's quiet because it's inside from the main street. The staff is friendly and smiles, and will give you advice on various things.

I absolutely love this place. 2nd time we have stopped here. Small hotel 6 rooms only, that gives a personal feel. Also feels nice and quiet. Pool nice and cool and trees covering over to keep it a cool space to get away from the Thai heat. They have also improved areas since our last stay which have made it even better. Definitely recommend.

Stayed 2 nights at start of holiday to Chiang Mai. Lovely little guesthouse just outside old town walls. Quiet area but with easy access to all the hussle and bussle of the city. Had a room with direct access to the pool which was very refreshing and there are also nice areas to sit out as well as your own little balcony. Room clean and soundproof with a big comfy bed. Loved our stay here, a great way to relax into the holiday. Staff also very friendly and happy to help with any questions. Would definitely stay again.

Quiet boutique hotel nicely decorated, very quiet, clean and very close to nightlife and markets (Night Bazaar) The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. They tried their best to satisfy our requests and provided a free transfer to the hotel. The hotel will be difficult to find for the first time, and it may be difficult to return to the hotel through dark alleys at night. but it’s quiet and you can’t hear any traffic. What I didn’t like is that despite the fact that the hotel is clearly built with attention to detail, the current staff don’t bother too much with maintaining the common areas: leaves are floating in the pool, the sun loungers are torn. The office next to the reception is filled with some junk. At the same time, the staff is clearly minding their own business. Perhaps this is post-Covid relaxation, when there are few guests, but it’s time to pull yourself together, it won’t take long to ruin your good reputation. Overall, despite the last remark, I will recommend this place to everyone.

This is the third time we have been to Villa Thapae and we are delighted with this oasis of peace in the middle of the old town and with the lovingly decorated rooms in modern Thai style. We love the rooms with pool access and the option of being able to go straight into the pool through the shower. The staff, and especially Fray, are extremely concerned about the well-being of the guests. A temporary office was even set up especially for a video conference that my husband had during our stay. Thank you so much Fray. See you again soon.

Super buen trato, muy atentos. Muy limpio todo. La ubicación esta bien. No esta dentro de las murallas pero esta justo al lado (algunos tours no te recogen si estas en las afueras, aquí no hemos tenido ningún problema para que nos viniesen a recoger). Como único pero, ranas croando a las noches y que en la piscina por la tarde no da el sol (pero con el calor que hace… igual es punto positivo 🤣) Detallitos tipo os dejamos otra toalla para la piscina; nos gestionaron guia privado para ir a doi inthanon; ningún problema para dejar la habitacion y quedarnos en la piscina el ultimo día etc. marcan la diferencia ¡¡¡RECOMENDABLE!!!
