The food was good but the room was a little dim and the air conditioning was weak

Bodhi Serene was situated in the Old City and suitable for the areas I wanted to discover. Staff were friendly and helpful . Rooms clean and comfortable. Having a 7/11 store across the road was convenient. There are no lifts in this hotel.

Don’t trust certain photos. The pool is small, and not very much swimmable. I didn’t swim during my 4 days stay. The room was big. Air-con didn’t keep room temperature constant. Hot then cold then hot then cold…. So I got cold in the end. The location is good if you want to visit night markets. My main disappointment was the pool. Don’t be misled by the photos. I didn’t request morning buffet. I just took a look at the menus. Didn’t seem impressive.

The hotel was situated less than 10 mins from 2 of the night markets. Its in a quiet environment and there is a 7-11 just opposite of it. So the stay was good and convenient at the same time. The reception all can speak simple English so communication was easy. The environment was clean also.

Enjoyed a quiet few nights here. Pool and gardens were beautiful and complimentary breakfast was good. Wish the bed was a bit more comfortable but overall enjoyed my stay!

Amazing hotel in a great location! Walking distance to all the nightlife, shops and temples. Beautiful grounds and lovely staff. Room was huge with a big balcony too.

Nice place to stay. Rather calm district of Chiang Mai, territory is big and peaceful, rooms are clean.

This quaint hotel was rather underwhelming with the service. Upon arrival, we were "greeted" with unwelcoming receptionist. Not that we couldn't help ourselves with my one luggage, it would have been nice if an offer to help by the receptionist/bellboy. In the end we carried the luggage to our room, up 3 flights of stairs, with the receptionist walking casually behind. Next, we had trouble with the lock to the door. The same receptionist took our key card and tried (almost breaking it with some brute force) before it worked. One of the key catd seemed to be not working. Instead of sending the replacement key card to us, the receptionist "instructed" us to collect from the front desk. Of which, we obliged so as not be too self-entittled. It would have been nice if it was otherwise. One of the house keeping staff (female) was consistent in maintaining her disinterest in service. When asked about the switch for the jacuzzi in the main swimming pool, she just replied "no, no, no".... when my friends and i asked for the pool towel from the front desk, (yes, the towel ran out and no one was there to help), the same female staff appeared with a few towels. She really looked unhappy and always like stomped off after leaving two stacks of towels thereafter. The bext day when i asked for the shower gel and shampoo to use from the front desk (since it was not replenished during house keeping) again, the same staff brought over the small bottles of shower gel and shampoo. She just left the littles bottles in my hands and turned away... when i thank her nonetheless, she walked on without turning or any form of acknowledgement. well, i supposed she must be hvaing a hard time at the workplace. I wish her well. So i informed the manager that the staff may indeed need some help to cope. To wrap the final day (and our less pleasant stay here), my friends witness a couple of units at our block who smoked in front of their units. One even had the ash-tray on the coffee table (similar to the one left at the designated smoking area). That left us rather puzzled that why the double standards where those guests were given the liberty to smoke in front of their units and for my friends, they had to climb 3 flights of stairs to the designated smoking area each time when they wish to smoke. Nonetheless, the manager of the hotel did her best to address our feedback when we were checking out. Thank you for listening to us.

Lovely room, pool and grounds but breakfast is a bit of let down for the price… Friendly staff, very clean and green and tranquil But for the price would expect a much better breakfast. I understand that with so few guests at times it’s hard to predict how much food to prepare BUT suggest more items on the breakfast menu such as fruit platters and more pastries Otherwise a lovely hotel

The hotel is in a good location, within walking distance to Thapae Gate, 10 minutes walk to the riverside night market, and 711 is opposite the hotel. The light in the room is not good, a little dark during the day. The hotel has good greenery, the swimming pool is not big, but it is very clean. The breakfast changes every day, although there are not many varieties, but it is enough and the taste is also very good.

The hotel is well located, two streets walk to the night market, the hotel appearance, environment is good 👍🏼, but entering the room is very disappointing! 1: The room is dimly lit 2: Queen rooms are much smaller than twin rooms (one of them is a twin room). 3: The room facilities are dilapidated, many things are broken, including the hanging clothes cabinet light tube in the bathroom broken and wall lights, to call someone to repair! The shower location in the other room is dilapidated, the wall tiles are very dirty, and the glass door cannot be fully opened or closed because the entire door is slanted! Breakfast was average, the pool was relatively small!

I once saw a comment that a hotel that has been in business for more than 10 years and has a low rating must be very good, so I chose this hotel that is rarely reviewed by Chinese people. Most of the guests are Europeans. We stayed for 5 nights and only met a Shanghainese at the end. The hotel facilities are very old, but they are well maintained and clean, and there are no strange bugs. There is a proper swimming pool, and foreigners take their children to the pool every afternoon. It is very enjoyable to have breakfast in the restaurant facing the garden. There are not many varieties of breakfast, but it is not bad. The best thing is that there is a 711 opposite the hotel.
