Room- we booked a deluxe room, it was extremely clean, the bed is one of the comfiest mattresses! The shower and bathroom has a fun design and was nice to use. Service- when we arrived we were told we booked a twin room despite my booking showing I selected a double bed. Staff were extremely helpful and swapped our mattress over to a double bed the following day Facilities- advertised as a pool and gym. The gym is extremely small and has basic equipment. The pool is nice but very small (photos definitely make it look bigger!) and cold. Due to the shady streets it’s often out of the sun (although this is common for most places in chiang mai). Location- Just off the main old town square was nice for us as it meant it was maybe a bit quieter. We didn’t mind the 10 minute walk to where we needed. Plus grab/tuk tuk in the area is easy to get

Before booking, I saw this hotel not far from the old city. It was called Chiang Mai Grand Hotel. It sounded like it should be a very big hotel. Unexpectedly, the gap between reality and ideals was still quite far away. I took a taxi and took a roundabout way to a very secluded alley. Then the driver pointed to a small door and said, this is your hotel. I'm dizzy, is this Chiang Mai Hotel? The staff is also relatively indifferent. Although there is a swimming pool, it is really not big. It feels like two or three people can fill the swimming pool. The key point is that there is nothing to eat, drink or play nearby, not even a 711. The cloth in the room was also quite average, and the bed grass on it was stained. The only thing worthy of praise is the toiletries used inside, which smell very good. 😓 If it costs more than 300 yuan, it is not recommended that you book this hotel. #hotelstayaddicted #ThailandTravel #Special Hotel #Stay in a local high-looking B&B #Thailand Travel

The hotel staff was very friendly. I had to go out at 6:30 in the morning to join the tour. I told them the night before that they had a takeaway breakfast ready when I left. It was a reception! The room was nice and no one needed it. There is a small terrace and a swimming pool for $200. The location is close to the city center, but it is quiet and dark. It is recommended to call grab back to the hotel at night.

The location of the hotel is very average. It's a bit scary to walk in a small alley at night. There is almost no view from the hotel balcony. The main point is that the air conditioner in each room is facing the bed. It's very cold when sleeping at night, and it's hot when not turned on. There is no plug in the hotel bathroom, so I can't blow dry my hair. There is no plug on the dressing table, which means I need to go to a place I don't want to blow dry my hair, which is not very convenient!

Very good breakfast. The hotel in general very good. Excellent staff. The only drawback is the bed, which we found too soft. Thank you.

I really liked the hotel! Beautiful cozy rooms, helpful staff. Very clean. Good skincare products. Excellent mattress and pillows. We didn’t even expect that for such a price there would be such quality. I recommend! Breakfast is a la carte, but you can ask for 2 servings per person. Not much variety, but quite tasty.

Walked past for a quick check when passing through town a week earlier and would have cancelled if not pre paid. Told no smoking even on balcony when checking in, then no chair on balcony! Surely the point of booking a balcony is to sit and/or smoke on it! On a back street which becomes a bike racetrack at night. Cockerels living next door crowing from early morning. The room has the least clothes storage ever. And a 1st generation memory foam mattress topper which I don’t like. Bathroom ok. Loads of little extras like earplugs, extension lead with loads of sockets but poor bedside lamps. Room next to cleaners storage room. 2nd morning woken at 7.15 by cleaners shouting at each other and radio messages. I suspect another guest complained as it didn’t happen again. Cleaning staff sit in the room in the after chatting with a radio on so no afternoon nap possible. Music playing by the pool from early morning which is quite unnecessary. Pool built on what was probably the parking area and four loungers for 40 or so rooms. Sometimes a queue. Breakfast ok. There seemed to be several staff busy doing something all day and food available during the day. Several feral cats wandering around and making a racket most of the day. Unused gym and a bar open in the evening. I dithered between 1 and 3 stars eventually being generous. There are better hotels for over €35 per night or similar for much less. The photos show plenty of the one or two wonderful and much more expensive rooms which give a false idea of a normal room. Location ok for local amenities but wandering around the local area may be concerning for the less confident. As is almost always the case the staff are wonderful.

Overall I would pick another hotel nearby given the options in the area. The location of the property is good because it’s close enough to the night market that you can walk there but it’s not a ‘short’ walk. Also, the overall decorations of the rooms and hotel is pleasing to the eye but the rooms are small. What’s being showcased online in photos are the suites. The amenities also need to be updated. Our AC unit just could not cool our room. It’s clear from looking at it that it’s a very old unit. I could have tolerated that but the outlets are horrific. The hotel provides an extension cord but it’s useless because the outlets are so old and loose they can hardly hold anything in. I even brought outlet converters and that did not help at all because there are also very few outlets. The food and drinks are not good either. There’s potential here because the bar space is super cute, clean, and ambient but the cost of drinks is overpriced. I paid 280 baht for a whiskey sour that had more ice and sour than whiskey. We also paid 300 baht each for breakfast and it just wasn’t good. The pool is very cold which sounds weird given the heat but the extremes are just not good for anyone. Last, the wifi is spotty. It’s the only hotel we stayed at in Thailand which wifi kept dropping. I gave the hotel 3 stars cause the staff were very nice, professional, and helpful. One night there was this super loud boom from a neighboring house and I called downstairs. Staff were nice and reassuring about it.

Stayed here for 4 nights for the first time ever as far away from my usual location. Had a fantastic stay. Rooms are comfortable and bed was good to sleep. Breakfast was a decent selection with 1 to 5 choices of American breakfast with one local dish of the day. Choice of yogurt, chilled juice of orange and pineapple with some cut fruits. Bread basket with buns and jams are available with a toaster. The server in little restaurant Ms. Doso Nattawadee and the person who made the delicious breakfast are Chef Kaek together with Chef Arm did a tasty breakfast with good quality scrumptious. Must to say on the receptionist counter Ms. Pai Suksri, Ms. Fern Darin, Mr. Pong and little girl Ms. Nim are great staffs at this hotel. They ensure my request were taken care. They are such great and friendly staffs and made my staycation memorable. Not forgetting Ms. Ying had little chat with her and she s friendly and humble person. The lady made up my room was clean and sparkled. Will be mine first choice to stay in coming years with my family.

A fabulous hotel within a 5 minute walk of the old city area. Staff are exceptional, rooms are stylish and have everything you need and breakfast is served in a beautiful semi open dining room. There is a small pool with loungers plus bicycles available if you are feeling energetic. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was just a terrific place to stay. Close to the old city, very clean, and totally accessible to the rest of the city via grab. Also close to the Saturday night market. I’d check out the art exhibits a block away, and also head to the river
