Family-friendly Hotels in Chiang Rai

I stayed at The Riverie by Katathani for a night and I was very impressed by the hotel. The location is great, right by the Kok River and with a stunning view of the mountains. The hotel is beautifully decorated with Lanna style and golden motifs. The room was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. I especially loved the balcony where I could enjoy the river view and the fresh air. The breakfast was amazing, with a variety of dishes and a different Northern Thai food every day. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and they always greeted me with a smile. The hotel also has a large pool, a fitness center, and three restaurants to choose from. I highly recommend The Peak, a romantic rooftop restaurant with a 180-degree view of Chiang Rai. The food and wine were delicious and the service was excellent. The Riverie by Katathani is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Chiang Rai. I would definitely come back again.

Very good hotel. Super quality price, excellent breakfast and a adorable staff. We spent two nights there. The staff is very available and very listening. Breakfast is extensive and the dishes are delicious

La Casa Italian Restaurant at The Legend Hotel in Chiang Rai ... This isn't my first revue of this establishment, as my previous visit with my wife about 2 years ago was so disappointing, and I vowed to never go back. ( My background is in the Hospitality Industry, in various roles but mainly as an Executive Chef.) Well, NEVER say never! Most recently I was extremely surprised when I received an email from the General Manager. Apparently he has been working at the resort for about 9 months and was going through some old reviews and came across my scathing review. I must say, I was intrigued, so upon reading his email he had mentioned that he was very interested in having my wife and I come and give the establishment another try. This sort of thing just doesn't happen here in Thailand. So needless to say we went back last Friday night and boy were we impressed! The service was impecable as well as the food. We ordered the Beef Carpaccio, it was heavenly. Our mains were a Roasted Lamb Shank with creamy polenta and a medley of garden fresh vegetables. The second dish was a Veal Marsala served with creamy mash potato, and garden vegetables. For dessert we enjoyed Banana Fritters with ice cream and a wonderful Panna Cotta. All through the evening the service was second to none and was such a momentus evening that we have since vowed to return again soon. What really impressed me wastheoriginal contact made by the General Manager (Eric) and his genuine demeanor. He actually really cares about his client and wants to make sure that their experience is better than their expectation. Thank you Eric for your loveof our industry and for giving stellar service.

The plant consists of 30 bungalows, 20 are the origin of the plant, 10 are newer construction. Our Nr.10 is one of the older with small deficiencies, but clean, this is what matters for this review, for the price anyway. Because at the price incl. breakfast is, yes this is in the hand and very good! Of course, some will now cry and say Thai breakfast, but you are here in Thailand, it is now so. It is very tasteful and rich, in addition you can book a Tellerset for it. The stay has THB 650. - costed, the additional Tellerset at breakfast costs THB 30. -.

I spent the most amazing new year vacation in Chiang Rai. I stayed at Phufa Waree for 5 nights and got a well-deserved rest. The location of Phufa Waree is around 18 km. from Chiang Rai town. I know it's quite far but once you learn how to commute, it's really not a deal-breaker. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room is big (I got a one-bedroom suite), the bathroom is also huge. The only thing that I would complain about is the sofa in the living room. It's built-in and it's not really that comfortable. The accommodation comes with a buffet breakfast, serve from 6:30 to 10 am. They have a Thai-style buffet spread and they serve different dishes every day. Outside the hotel, there's a nice restaurant called Tid Dao Tid Din. The food is also good and inexpensive. Getting to town is a bit tricky, taxis and even Grab car is very expensive so try to hail a small green bus, which comes every 15 or 20 minutes. The fare is around 18 Baht and it will take you straight to Chiang Rai town (the bus station is near the Night Bazaar). All in all, I would say I had a great stay at Phufa Waree.

The hotel was really nice and clean. The room was really nice. The staff was also friendly and helpful. They have a bike that you can borrow to ride around the area.
