The location of the hotel is relatively easy to find. It is less than a hundred meters away from the side of the road. There is also an open space for parking. The Chinese name of the sign at the intersection is Thai Palace Hotel. The room is ok, I ordered the big bed in the main building, and the single-family cabin. The rooms are equipped with slippers and toiletries. If you are 🈶cleanliness or more demanding friends, it is recommended to bring your own. . Sanitary conditions are okay. . It is normal for this kind of place to pass by Xiaoqiang. People with a high degree of cleanliness may have to be careful of dust. Personally feel that the room is good overall. Bath water is also sufficient. Breakfast is used in the restaurant on the right of the intersection! That restaurant can also order food at ordinary times, and the price-performance ratio is quite high

The pictures of Rai Saeng Arun and its surroundings are beautiful but they do not fully capture the special vibes experienced in this place. We were amazed by the abundance of frangipanis, bamboo trees, rice paddies, various crops and gardens, and the special view of the Mekong overlooking Laos . Extremely calm and quiet. Be ready to climb 200+ stairs every day if you're staying in one of the bungalows on the hill, but there are rooms on the river level - be sure to book the right room for your stay at the reservation stage. When showering, look up and witness trees and plants eclipsing your view of the sky. At night you will shower while looking up to the stars, and since it's a remote area, you will get a crisp view of the milky way. The food is predominantly Thai and delicious - fresh produce is grown around the area, so expect some of the freshest organic food from regions where top notch restaurants in Bangkok likely source from. While you can get much cheaper food in local areas of town, a meal for two here goes for around 600-700 Baht, quite inexpensive for the quality. The people are incredibly nice, as usual with Thai hospitality, but we were lucky to be invited by the manager's nephew on a mini road trip with his family to check out neighboring temples and the golden triangle. The couple didn't charge us a dime and even paid for our temple tickets and dinner. Not that all guests will be this lucky to be awarded this opportunity, but goes to show how genuine and kind the people here are. Advices: If staying on the hill (200+ stairs), pack light. While the hotel offers instant noodles, beverages and water in the rooms, feel free to bring evening snacks of your own as the hotel's restaurant closes at 5pm and the nearest supermarket/convenience store is definitely not walking distance. Reminder that this is a remote place. Most people come with their own cars or arrange drivers for the whole stay. Be sure to plan your day-trips and transportation ahead of the stay. Bring a good book, a good playlist, and unwind. 100% recommend.

As the name suggests, a great spot on top of a hill just outside of town.
The owners are very friendly and helpful. They will pick you up and drop you off in town if needed. The view from the restaurant is across the Mekong to Laos, the room has a nice view and it's quiet, away from dogs, roosters and everything else. It's clean and comfortable and makes for a great stay. The owner drove us to the bus station when we left and will definitely be back.

We only stayed for 1 night before crossing over into Laos. The hotel totally surprised me. The staff were so helpful. The restaurant was really good and the views were stunning being right on the Mekong looking over into Laos. We stayed in a riverview room in the resort side of the hotel - the room was very nice, very clean and had everything we needed and the view from the balcony was amazing. I hope to come back to Chiang Khong and stay at the Teak Garden for a few days to really enjoy the hotel and the town.

The spacious room is conveniently arranged: a desktop with a chair, a table with two chairs (which is rare). Snow-white bedding. There is a public area for free coffee. The hotel is two minutes from the beautiful embankment of Mekonga. Access directly from the main street, it is not necessary to look for.
From the downsides - parking only for three car seats.

GGuest User2023.09.21
We were extremely disappointed with this hotel. The room was in poor condition with broken doors poorly patched up doors into the bathroom, safe not working and a bed that was as hard as lying on concrete. The view was great from the balcony across the Mekong but that was the only good thing about this hotel room. There were a few other guests staying there at the same time as us but they left early because the noise from functions in their function room downstairs was extreme, and went on night after night until the early hours, Then the participants were allowed to go into other areas of the lower floor to continue the drunken behaviors without any intervention from staff. The other privately booked patrons all left early because nothing was done to control these people. We were the only ones left. Breakfast was determined by the choices made by the function groups, and is not the buffet breakfast the claim to provide and is not the breakfast we paid for as they describe. If you really feel the need to stay at this place you would be better going for a short walk along the river and having breakfast elsewhere because the breakfasts offered were poor and most of it was cold. The hotel also is reported to have a restaurant. True it does but they will only offered us a choice of 3 dishes that is the same as the function is offering to their participants. We had our order taken from these 3 dish menu only to then sit there for nearly an hour waiting for the food. The order was taken by the restaurant manager, but he chose to go to another table and sit with the hotel manager and drink beer and eat a huge bowl of chips. We are not sure if the order was even given to the kitchen staff, and when we asked what was going on there was no explanation, we were just asked to wait another 15 minutes. When we complained again it was magically there in about 5 minutes. We found other places to eat after that. The pool and the free use of hotel bicycles were pluses. The pool was well shaded from the sun, was clean and refreshing. There are bike tracks right outside the hotel along the river which are flat and easy to ride. Very few of the staff had any English, which is fine considering its Thailand, but even when you translated to Thai for them they were not helpful (particularly the management). They were solely focused on the groups in the functions and we felt very much like inconveniences in their way. I normally don't give reviews for a bad hotel but this place was exceptionally uncomfortable and poorly managed. In short we would never stay at this hotel again and suggest anyone that is considering this hotel look at one of the many other hotels that are nearby, and be assured any on the riverfront the same views of the river, with often better rates for their rooms and restaurants where they value your patronage.

If you want to relax and be out of town this is the place to be. We only stayed one night on our way to Laos border trip down the Mekong. The rooms are lovely. Large, clean, comfy beds and air con. The bonus is the pool. Given a morning travelling from Chiang Rai it was like walking into paradise. The resort offered breakfast and evening meal menus. Which we have to say was delicious. The owners wife was lovely she spent time talking to us about our onward plans. We had considered finishing our tour in Phuket, her daughter lived there and rented out accommodation. She called her, and offered advice on location. Whilst we didn't book anything the information was very welcome. The owner John, offered to run us into town if we wanted to go. We didn't but the offer was very thoughtful. We will definitely stay here again.

GGuest UserAtmosphere among the mountains and rivers Chiang Saen accommodation Baan Sawai Garden and Resort, one of the resorts. There is a most beautiful sunset viewpoint on the Mekong River in Ban Saeo Subdistrict, Chiang Saen District, Chiang Rai Province. When checking in, the resort will welcome you with sweet lemonade as ”Welcome Drink”. Expected to change continuously Which the resort grows by itself and is chemical-free There is a golf cart picked up from the check-in building to the room. The resort has 4 rooms located on a hill facing the Mekong River. Causing the same view of Laos side from the balcony During my stay at the end of April The room is comfortable and the price is very good. There is a promotion to say the line. The price is very good. The opposite side of the resort is Laos, our neighboring country. Only the Mekong River is the border line between the two countries. From the location of the resort, you can see the beautiful sunset on the Mekong bank every season. On the organic orchard area. Various poisons in an area of more than 30 rai where you can experience fresh air all year round. Including being able to pick and taste organic fruits in every season The room for the night is a ”honeymoon suite” very wide, 53 square meters with an en-suite balcony. It is a single bed. appliances Amenity Kits The resort is fully equipped like a five-star hotel. Both toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, conditioner, bathtubs for people who like to soak in outdoor or showers are all available. This breakfast is eaten until full as well. During this period, there are few guests, the resort will be arranged as a set meal. Passed very quickly It is another trip that returns with an impression. Until I feel that one night may be a little short for a real escape of the hustle and bustle. With the perfect atmosphere with a beautiful and peaceful view The air is so cool and fresh that I hardly want to go back. If there is a chance, I will definitely come back next time. Definitely attractive.
GGuest UserPros : • Space comfortable room with view of Mekong • Air restaurant with reasonable buffet breakfast • Infinity pool with beautiful view of Mekong river Cons • Here and there some Thai shortcomings • Coal terrace : this could be so beautiful. • The swimming pool is urgently required to restore. • No bar and restaurant for lunch or dinner Are you sure that the rest of the hotel is under-size for a 4-star hotel. We stayed here in 2017 also: quality has decreased significantly. Our luxurious room 305 was very spacious (30m2) with a good and broad bed (1.80m broad) and flat floor. Good air conditioning, medium-sized flat screen TV, wifi, coffee and tea. The spacious bathroom with indoor rain shower and separate bathroom is very comfortable with bath jackets and pantyhose. Room facilities are perfect. Good dark curtains. Balcony with 2 seats and table and most beautiful views of the Mekong and Laos. But don't forget: cheaper superior rooms on the back of the hotel have no view of Mekong. The breakfast buffet in the quite cale restaurant was enough with a separate egg station. Sometimes evening restaurant sometimes not, so unreliable. No bar is free coffee and water in the lobby. The outdoor terrace is extremely hot, really regrettable because with a little money and difficulty an architect can do wonders here. Great infinity pool with view of the Mekong River and with clean water but a lot of shortages , only three wooden seats. Some free bikes to use.
GGuest UserThe rooms are spacious, clean, with lots of furniture. Lots of usable space There is also a hair dryer. There is a built-in automatic water heater that adjusts the temperature, cannot be adjusted manually.

GGuest UserI booked an extra night as the price was very good for the standard of accommodation. The WiFi was a bit hit and miss at times but it's not a big problem. I will definitely stay here again when I'm in Chiang Saen
Athita The Hidden Court Chiang Saen is an ideal destination for a family vacation. We stayed with our two children, and they absolutely loved the experience. The hotel’s peaceful environment allowed us to relax and enjoy quality time together. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped, making it comfortable for the whole family. We were impressed by the variety of activities offered, from cycling through the charming town of Chiang Saen to exploring ancient temples. The hotel staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always going out of their way to ensure our kids were entertained and happy. The traditional Lanna cuisine was a delightful culinary adventure for all of us. We had a fantastic time and will definitely come back!
Have stayed her a few tines over he years and it has always been a an excellent experience. A family run hotel overlooking the Mekong river which has been recently extended and modernised without losing its charm or friendliness. Lucky and staff are very welcoming and attentive. The rooms are comfortable, very clean with all you need for a short stay. Good bathroom and shower with fridge and tea/coffee in the room and also available in the breakfast room. Breakfast was good with 3 set options, Thai style, Northern Thai and European. Location is good to walk along the river and about 15 mins to the market and central area. Would highly recommend this hotel for an inexpensive but comfortable stay.
GGuest UserThe view from the window to Laos is just a wow. It is not forgotten about, you can watch for hours, the evening picture is not worse. Near the pier, with it boats go to Mekong, we swam for half an hour in Laos, very funny. Near a few foods, cheap. Everything closes very early, wanted to make a massage, the salon didn't work. We went to the city, there everything works until 17-30. We found a few cafes, but expensive. There are many small ants in the room and saw a cockroach. There is a teapot, a refrigerator in the room. Next to 7/11, you can buy a snack and eat in the room.
GGuest UserThe hotel has 2 buildings on each side of the road. Accommodation is a small building, self-service, no porter. The door opens with a card. The hotel parking lot is broken, 3 floor building, there is a container and the name of the Siam triangle hotel is confusing. At first, I couldn't find the hotel, only the name has to call to ask at the hotel for the clean room, no mechanical. Good cool air conditioner, good flowing water, impressed with the service of the staff in the breakfast room. Good care and service Beautiful river view, good taste food
